I'm having a technology crisis. the laptop I use to run both my "smart" bike trainer and netflix will currently do neither. My phone won't talk to my headphones. My tablet won't connext to the wifi.
I just want to do one measly short wee brick and instead ive spent the last hour downloading drivers aND rebooting things. Aarrrggghhhhh.
That blows. I'm sorry wawa. I am no help in the tech dept, but I hope you've gotten it under control!
We went grocery shopping tonight. It's a bad idea to go grocery shopping when you're hungry. I reminded my H about 3 times that we were "too hungry to be shopping" but oh well. At least the fridge is well stocked, and DS stayed asleep as I peeled him out of his car seat. (He got fed before we went shopping!)
It required some workarounds and I didn't finish till 10 pm...but I did get a (very) short brick in last night! Computer still won't do netflix though. No clue what's wrong.
The run part of that bad boy was rough though. Hopefully it's a hair easier on sunday.
DD1s first morning of swim team practice. The pool heater needs a repair, so they are doing a dryland practice and a pancake breakfast. Lol @ my 6 year old doing dryland training with the big kids. So cute.
There was an adorable dog named Gus at the gym this morning. He was medium size, with curly black fur and I just wanted to hang out in the corner and snuggle him instead of working out.
I hate when that happens. I swear anytime I need to use the DVD player to do a spinning DVD it takes at least an extra half hour to get it all working!
Ugh I called my ortho office today about getting in for my hip. No openings until July!! I get that they are busy but frustrating! I have things to do! And ultimately I feel like I'll need multiple appts so let's get the ball rolling! She said she'd check with his secretary to see if they can get me in sooner at least.

Im debating dropping my 70.3 and finding a local full marathon instead. Im just not into it. I really dont enjoy biking and have no interest in getting better at it or spending every sunday morning doing it.

On a whim I got a Walcoal contour wire sports bra, and my 36ddds are chafe free and happy after 7 miles. I didn't even cover my rib cage, shoulders, or center of my back with body glide. I'm absolutely dazzled by how comfortable the bra is.
I never see this brand mentioned in the what kind of sports bra should I get posts, so I want to give them a huge shout out.

I have a bunch of their regular bras and mostly like them ( The underwire comes up a little high in the armpit and can be uncomfortable) but not in this bra! 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍

I don't think I can get in to see who I went to before because it's been too long (referral is up). I could go to a different place that doesn't need referrals. But I'm fairly certain it's a labral tear since that's what I have on the other side. I already did PT on the other side for it so I know the stuff I can do. But that doesn't really help for the pain. Got a cortisone injection on the other hip which helped and I'm assuming that's where I'm headed for this side now. Guess we'll see. Going to try to rest this week and then start up the PT exercises on my own.

Glad you got in a little sooner. Crossing my fingers it isn't something serious.
al320 , a 70.3 is too much time and training commitment to take on if your heart is not in it.
This is where I am. If you're not enjoying it now, I don't think it's going to get any better in the future. Maybe now just isn't the right time in your life?

I ran yesterday and my arch hurt. I figured it was random pain of upping mileage and now I have this lovely lump on my foot. My doc is out until june 7th. Dr. Google tells me posterior tibialis tendon, which makes sense...its exactly opposite of the first pain I had when I was injured before. I just wanna be healthy you guys.

West Wing weekly is fantastic, but it's less than an hour long. Don't they know they have a rapt audience for two+ hours that just want some rambling commentary?

I know! People complained about how long GG was and I was all about it! I had hours and hours to kill last summer.
Anybody have any experience with what happens to a tri when a thunderstorm rolls through? I'm assuming they'll just delay the start if it looks like it'll be over quickly. But what if it hits on the run or bike? The RD is being sorta weird and vague about it. Like, "our contingency plans have contingency plans and we're SO PREPARED to MONITOR, DECIDE AND EXECUTE that you don't even need to worry." I mean, that's great. I'm not worried. I'd just like to know what the possibilities are? Like...is there a point at which you cancel? Is there not? Is there a point at which we're all supposed to pull over and find shelter? Continue at your own risk at all times? What? I believe you that you're prepared...so why can't I ALSO be prepared by understanding what your contingency plans include???
Also...my dream of beating MH at another race is looking dim indeed. He only needs to do the bike 1 mph faster than me to drop me far enough that I'm unlikely to catch him on the run...and he just nonchalantly busted out a 19 mph average pace on our trainer ride last night. (we picked a virtual course that roughly matched the race conditions) I'm keeping the dream alive, but it's not looking good.
My appetite has been way off since we got back from vacation a few days ago. I'm forcing myself to eat because I want to work out tonight, but it feels like a chore. Nothing is appealing.
Today was the last day at my full-time job because I started my own nutrition counseling private practice. So excited!
I trained for the RnR half in Nashville but ended up dropping down to the 5k the morning of because my knee hurt. I feel like it's hanging over my head since I've never run in a half. Now I'm looking at other half marathons to do later this year.
