If you had to buy a ring now to wear on your left hand to indicate you are married, what would you buy? Would you buy a typical engagement ring and wedding ring combo or a single non-traditional ring? Or something else? And what would it look like? Share pics!

Like if I lost my set? I would probably replace my set with a bigger solitaire "engagement" ring (maybe with small accent diamonds down the band) and a wedding band with small diamonds in it (currently it's just a plain gold band).
I'd replace with as close to what I currently wear. DH very specifically picked a bezel setting and not-a-diamond for an engagement ring because he knows me (and my hobbies) well. And I have a plain wedding band, which is all I want.
I do a lot of hobbies where having things on my hands/wrists that could snag yarn, fleece, thread, fabric, brocade, etc would be bad, bad news.

Last time I had a very simple solitaire, which isn't really my style. I'd do something pretty different next time. Maybe art deco, or a sapphire even instead of a diamond.
Would you all replace it with the same exact ring setting, if still available?
If my original rings were lost/stolen, I don't think I'd buy another diamond. I'd rather not spend the money if I couldn't have the real thing back.
If you're asking if I could go back in time and reconsider what I originally received ... I'd stick with my original set. I'm still happy with the design. I like having a basic solitaire and a non-gemstone band, but with the floral engraving for some detail.
I'd be really sad if my rings were lost or stolen as I'm pretty sentimental about them. That said, I'm sure I would get over it quickly with a nice, giant sized asscher cut solitaire*
However, I rarely wear them. The E-ring and band are soldered together. I work from home and go out to the gym or work with my horses. I do wear my set when I go "out..." which is hardly ever.
A year or two ago I requested a diamond eternity ring for everyday wear and never take it off. If I had been wiser when I got engaged, I would've asked for an eternity band with larger diamonds and skipped my E-ring.
If I had to replace my current ring, I'd go for an emerald cut diamond (assuming insurance is covering the cost). If not, I do love the floral filigree that mbcdefg posted, so I might go for something like that, even though I got something similar for Christmas. This is the ring I got and I've been wearing it instead of my wedding rings since then. I love it so much more on my left hand for some reason (probably b/c I'm left handed)

I have a gorgeous, but sort of unnecessarily ornate emerald cut diamond with 2 diamond eternity bands. I custom designed everything in my mid 20s and I thought at the time that was the way to go.
Now, knowing how often I actually wear them, and how my tastes have changed, I'd choose something totally different- simpler, and I'd absolutely want a colored gem, probably emerald. Something like this, but with a thinner band, and a simple plain wedding band.

I'd get a single band, and likely the same style: antique.
I thought about getting a new one, but it will be irritating to me washing my hands a 100 times/day at work. I'm going to get a $5 silicone ring and call it good.

I would get my same or similar wedding ring, I love it. I probably wouldn't re-buy an engagement ring if I lost it...we had my grandmother's diamond reset and I love it, but without the sentimental value I wouldn't wear an e-ring. I wear the e-ring on my right ring finger and the wedding band on my left.
ETA: I think this is mine
www.beverleyk.com (it won't let me post to the direct link for the ring because it converts the text to emojis, but it's under Floral Bands)
But if you search diamond filigree band there's a lot of pretty options if you like the style:

This sounds exactly like me!
My current ring looks similar to this:
I'd probably replace it with a emerald cut solitaire because I don't like the bulk of my current ring.
I also have a 2mm platinum wedding band (link) that I bought for cheap and I usually wear that alone most days.SaveSaveSaveSave
I have a two tone ring with four small diamonds set into the band that I chose from a local jewelers book. I also got diamond earrings instead of an engagement ring and I wear them nearly every day. I would absolutely replace the earrings if they were lost or stolen. I would choose something as close as possible to my wedding band.
My previous engagement ring was a 3-stone oval ring (I'm divorced). If I were to pick out a new one then I'd like a solitaire-style with small pave diamonds on the band.

I would get something like thisĀ
ETA, I love my current rings, and they're very sentimental to DH (they were his mom's, who passed away when he was a little kid). I do wish I had something very, very simple to wear at work

I'd design my own.
Option #1
Cut Cornerned Square Step Cut (Asscher) or Rectangular Modified Brilliant (Tycoon cut) or an Octagonal Step Cut
Fancy Pink-Orange
Side stones- Padparadscha sapphires
Platinum setting with lotus blossoms carved into the band.
Option #2
3 carat Z colored diamond (light yellow, not a fancy color grade) with side stones set into the band ranging from Y-D in color along the band.
Option #3
Find that 2 carat I1 diamond that passed through the carlsbad lab 10 years ago that has a ruby crystal in the dead center of the stone. It was absolutely gorgeous and some collector probably has it sitting in a vault gathering dust.
I'd stick with ones similar to what I have - DH had my e-ring customized by the bench jeweler based off one I'd found online that I liked, but wasn't exactly what I wanted

I love my ring. Princess cut solitaire with the platinum lucida setting and a plain wedding. I love that I can just wear the band when traveling and that it represents where we were in life when we got married so I wouldn't upgrade.

I don't think my dream ring exists. I wanted diamonds and platinum, but I really like vintage styles and I'm super picky about the wedding band looking like an integral part of the ring and not tacked on. I still love my ring which is a platinum band with princess cut solitaire, but a wedding band doesn't work well with it so I never got one. When I was pregnant with each of my kids my fingers got larger so I got a ring each time which I will pass on to each of them. I think I'd go with something more delicate with more diamonds if I were to pick one today.
