May Empties and Favorites

Empties -

NYX WP eyeliner in espresso, I forgot to pick one up last time I was at Ulta. Will fix that's ASAP.

Lush skin drink - love it, picking up another this weekend. Tried Yes to Coconut night cream since I can't get to lush easily. It's just not the same.

Favorites -

nothing is sticking out for me. This month is a blur.

I had a record 13 empties last month!

*The Body Shop Satsuma Hand Cream in Clementine would repurchase in the future
*FAB Ultra Repair Hydrating Serum-I purchased this in the past with the old formula and I prefer it over the new formula. I felt like it was more hydrating.
*B&BW Twilight Woods Body Spray- This was one of my 17 in 2017. I don't know if they even still carry this scent?
*Burts Bees facial cleansing wipes- would not repurchase
*Garnier miceller water (pink cap)- HG, already repurchased
*Sephora Waterproof eye makeup remove- Would repurchase
*Cosrx Good Morning Cleanser- Already repurchased
*Tarte Lights Camera Splashes- Would repurchase, but trying the UD waterproof mascara right now
*Nivea in-shower body lotion- Would repurchase. Similar to Lush's body conditioner, but much more affordable. Doesn't smell as nice, but beggars can't be choosers.
*HolikaHolika soda pore cleansing BB deep cleansing oil- love. I think it's discontinued, but I have another bottle in the closet waiting for me to use up the Tony Moly cleansing oil I'm trying.
*Yes to Coconuts lip balm- would repurchase
*NARS creamy radiant concealer- would consider repurchasing while on sale, but I don't love it for full price.
*Buxom mascara- This used to be a favorite, but I am finding other mascaras that do similar things for my lashes and don't smear everywhere.

Armani foundation - hg, had back up.

Burberry mascara - first tube was good, this tube got thick and bad fast, so I won't repurchase. I'm using Burberry's cat eyes now and it's better, but no real volume.

Shu Uemura oil cleansing shampoo - hg, already using the back up.

Nars shadow primer - hg.

Murad Mattifier - hg.

Avene Micelar water is my new favorite. I love the smell and it works so well.
I tried a La Roche Posay deodorant and while it smells great, it doesn't work.

Loving the Drunk Elephant tlc samples and debating purchasing it.

Also loving Essie's gel couture polishes. They last pretty well. I hope they come it with more colors.

I never have empties but actually just finished:

Bare Minerals eye primer - would not repurchase, I don't like the tube (nothing comes out and then a ton comes out)
Tarte colored clay CC stick - I really like this but already have a backup plus several other primers

Favorites:

Tarte creamy powder foundation - it does not keep my forehead from getting shiny, but it's sooooo easy and fast to apply on weekday mornings

Question: What do you guys use micellar water for? I own one but is it instead of a face wash or in addition to or what exactly?

in my case both. I'll use it morning as my only cleanser. I'll use it to get remaining mascara etc off after oil cleanse. For travel and lazy nights I'll use it to take everything off (this often requires more than one cotton round which is why I don't always do it this way). I also sometimes just use q tips and it to remove stuff around my eyes. I mean I double cleanse but sometimes that stuff just seems to stay.

I used up a lot this month and feel like I have a bunch of stuff that is close to empty as well. I always run out of everything at once, LOL. 

Empties:
- Clariol Hair Food shampoo (I love the clarifying formula and use it 1x per week) Need to repurchase on my Target run this weekend.
- CeraVe Hydrating Cleanser. Repurchased the foaming cleanser for summer, since I'm not as dry
- Biore watery essence sunscreen. Repurchased/had backup
- IT Cosmetics CC cream. Love it, but won't repurchase right away... I have 2 The Ordinary colors, as well as a Tarte mineral powder foundation, so I'll be using up those. 
- Tarte Lights, Camera, Lashes mascara. Had backup from the Tarte custom kit I ordered last month

New Favorites:
- TO Azelaic Acid Suspension 10% (love how this makes my skin texture look and feel)
- Tarte drench lip splash lipstick in Cabana Boy (perfect nude, matte but not drying)
- I got a NuMe curling wand and it's changed my hair game. LOL.

I use it mainly to take off my eye makeup. I like the wipes to keep in my gym bag and for travel. It's also great to use on q tip to fix any mistakes (stray eyeliner, mascara etc)

My biggest favorite this month is the Pur Cosmetics face brush that looks like those Artist(so?) toothbrush looking brushes. It's super soft and makes putting on foundation really quick. I've been really impressed by it. I also really love these Snail masks I found on Amazon.

- Bioderma Micellar Water - already had my 2 pack of bottles ready to replace
- Clinique High Impact Mascara - won't buy again for a while
-No 7 Extreme Length Mascara - won't buy again
- Sun Bum lipbalm - I'm buying that again
- Sun Bum spf 30 lotion (body) - replacing

Favourites:
Just started using Laura Mercier hydrating primer and Candleglow Foundation. They seem pretty good for my face when I want a light coverage.

Second cleanse as it's at a good PH level (at least the one I use, Bioderma). Also for quick morning swipe of the face if I've been sweating a ton (I'm perimenopausal), on my eyes again if I'm wearing lots of eye makeup, for quick changes of lip colour, and great for washing off my neck in the evenings (which is important in a city as my neck gets gross).

I use it to remove my make up when I get home. I use two cotton ovals, one on each eye and use the backs to clean the rest of my face. Sometimes I use it as a little refresh if my face feels oily. It's really nice, can't be without it.

Deluxe sample size of EradiKate. I already bought the full-size because it made such a difference and I barely had any hormonal cystic acne. My chin would have been flaring up by now but nope, nothing! Yay!

Favourites:

TO Buffet serum
TO Caffeine serum.
FAB's eye serum

The Ordinary is the total HG for me. I put in an order yesterday and got another bottle of the Buffet and Caffeine, plus a bottle of Hyaluronic acid and Ascorbyl glucoside (hoping it will take the place of my pricey Truth Serum).

Banila Clean it Zero - I have another jar, but I have a few other first cleansers to try first
Mizon Snail Repair Intensive Ampoule - this was the first Ampoule I used consistently, I liked it, but I've got a new one to try
Mizon Snail Repair Eye Cream - really liked this, but I want to try something for my dark circles. Any suggestions? I gave my Benton eye cream to MIL, IDK why lol

Charlotte Tillbury Retoucher Pen - I have other concealer that I will use for now. I'm not sure if I will get the pen again.

My absolute favorites of the month were Skinfood Peach Sake Toner and Mizon Water Volume Ex first essence. I seriously love both of these products.

Sulawhasoo eye cream deluxe sample--I have a few more of these, so I'm not sure if I'll buy a full-size yet
YSL makeup primer deluxe sample--I really liked this, maybe enough to buy it over my HG Hourglass primer the next time I need a bottle
Burberry Rosewood lipstick--RIP, favorite pink lipstick. They've discontinued the old formula, and the new formulation in this color doesn't look the same.
