Is anybody reading that mega thread on ML ?? apparently a bunch of us are friends with Tambcat on facebook?? but I thought we were all horrified by her racist comments ... I know jamaicam replied in the thread but not anybody else?!

what is happening! are people facebook friends with the horrible stellas person as well?

I don't even know Tamb's real name. I just went over to ML and opened the thread...anyone know what page I should skip to? It looks like it's a jewelry dispute issue on the first several pages.

I've been slowly working my way through it but haven't gotten that far yet. I will say that I am not Facebook friends with TAmb and have no idea what Stella's real name is.

Doesn't everyone lurk at least on another board? ML is where I spend the most time followed by CEP, and lurk/randomly post on MM and MMM. I read threads on other boards sometimes, but rarely if ever post.

I've tried to read it but always end up having to take a break to do something and then I go back and it's even bigger and I try to catch up but it's so long. I always get interrupted!

Tamb comes up in my "people I might know section" (is it still called that?) on fb often, since we have so many mutual friends. So yeah. I was surprised and confused by that when I first noticed.

She came up in the people you may know section on mine months ago. You can see who likes her photos. Thats how i matched up some of the names. Trust me i know there is more.

Its just mind boggling how some were soo disgusted and shit by her using the n word but totes ok with being fb friends with her.

What's bullshit about the Facebook friend thing is how people where so condemning of Tamb's words here but then had no problem turning around and finding another way to stay in contact.

Thanks, I'll start there. And no, I don't really lurk on any other boards. I used to check the bst page on MMM but that's about it.

She shows up on mine too and has since about the time she was run off the board. Sadly, I've now been accused of giving out people's names who are friends with her and have been blamed for the call out on ML. Y'all need to learn how Facebook works. It was no secret who was friends with her.

I didn't see the thread bc I don't check ML anymore. I only post/check here and Disney and I never see notifications on the app.

So I don't know what specifically is going on, but yes I was friends with tamb on Facebook for years before she left the board. I didn't defriend her after she did leave. I don't know Stella's name IRL.

I never go to ML unless it's linked on another board. I read here, Disney, CEP, and sometimes MMM.

I read ML, CE&P, here (but there isn't much going on here these days), and H&F as well. MMM a bit. It depends on my business level I suppose.

I have to say I'm actually shocked at how many people are FB friend with tamb but I guess it's my white privilege that allows me to even be surprised.

I genuinely care about all the kids on this board and like seeing updates and photos etc. and I didn't defriend her for that reason. I'm assuming that's not a very satisfying answer, but that's the truth. I miss hearing about all the kids of people who don't keep in touch with the board anymore.

I think about other 2012 kids too. Like lolaburns and wonder how allergy treatments are going, and ninjabridemom and how she and her twins are doing, and @dorothy zbornak overseas, and the lives of a few other posters.

I assumed a lot of people here are fb friends, and I have not done that because of the loss of privacy that comes with it is not Something I'm interested in.

And I have zero desire to associate in any form with racist people.

I would bet every dollar that someone did. I was removed and blocked by people last night because they thought I was guilty of something I wasn't. Also, given the other person that was blocked, someone would have had to told her a name so...

I don't even know tamb's real name. I don't think I was ever friends with her on FB. I've been attempting to keep up with the ML thread, but with it being such a busy week, I'm not around long enough to join in the conversation. In reading, it did remind me how ashamed I am of my own complicity in not calling her out for using that word.

Since Faded and I are friends it has been assumed that I divulged all of the information to her. It was all public.
