Dance recital weekend is over! DD is "taking a break" from dancing next year (she has been complaining about disliking dance since December.) We start at her new gymnastics class Tuesday for a summer session.
My parents are taking the kids camping this week about 20 min away (has lots of fun things for kids.) I plan on driving back and forth with DS2 because I'm so tired of being in the house.
Busy week here. A has her first t-ball game and her dance rehearsal and recital. I'm kind of nervous to do her hair and makeup, I've never done a fancy bun before.

We haven't announced on social media, but my husband got a new job!! His current company was no longer a good fit, but he still loved what he was doing. So he did a lateral move but will now be with Shutter.fly! We're so excited! It's the same responsibilities and duties, but a very nice pay increase and he no longer has to work one on one with customers. Guys I am so so so excited about his new employee discount. Are you ready for this? He will get a $2500 gift card every 6 months to use however on anything they make. His last day at Fed.Ex is Wednesday but he doesn't start at the new place till next week. So we get a nice 4 day weekend together. Hooray!
Fingers crossed for a nice day. There is plenty of time for it to change. Almost all last week it called for a rainy weekend and this weekend turned out great!

I'm going away on a girls beach trip this weekend. This is a first since.... probably before I met DH! I'm so nervous about leaving the boys and dh has been crazy busy at work so organizing pick ups and everything is stressful. I hope I can calm down and actually enjoy myself!
Colin started kindergarten camp today. Lunch is included and I can't help but worry he will hate it. He's so finicky with food. I realize I am a more productive parent with one child than none. When both boys are at school I sit on my ass. Oliver and I have gotten so much done today and it's not even noon!
I don't know what to do with H. When he sleeps in until 6:45/7 he's so happy and sweet. When he wakes up at 5:45/6 he's so angry and unhappy until after his nap. Problem is he wakes up early like 80% of the time these days. I can't figure out what he needs to sleep in! He has a sound machine and black out curtrains. We even installed a ceiling fan thinking he might be hot.
@lindy do you have air conditioning or heat on a times schedule? We used to set the temperature lower at night in the winter but had it kick on at 6 to warm up the house for when we get up at 7. Woke E up every morning. On trash day the garbage trucks wake him up.
E is the same way though. He is so much happier when he sleeps until 6:45 instead of 5:45.
I hate my body. My husband had a V earlier this year and was cleared a couple months ago. My period is 5 days late, it is never this late. I'm getting paranoid even though I know I can't be pregnant.
Yay exterminator, boo ants rjamz. Ants in my house annoy me sooo much.
They're so bad this year! No matter what I did they kept coming back so it was time to call in the big guns. Not to mention the full on sobbing meltdown I had when I found them inside my couch while I was already having a really horrible day.

Is it just me or does 6:30 seem a little too late for kid activities? W has belt testing tonight at 6:30, legos at the library on Wednesday at 6:30 & in the fall, both swim team and tae kwon do for his age are at 6 or 6:30. This is usually when we have dinner, and our bedtime routine starts around 7:45. It's okay every once in a while, but I can't imagine having dinner at 5:30 or at 7:30 every night.

Our normal dinner time is 5/5:30. Peyton's new gymnastic schedule is m, w, f 3:30-5:30 and we were all staaaaarving come 6 when we got home tonight. It's going to be rough, even with bringing snacks, Logan was a total cranky pants. Do you have a late lunch or something?

You've lost a bunch of weight recently, hopefully it's just that!
My h is interviewing for a new job that requires 25% of travel. Right now he travels for 4 days once a year. This would be such a change! I'm really nervous about what means for our family and schedule. He does so much around here, I don't know how I would do it all.
The job would be a giant pay increase though, like life changing.
