DH was just laid off

We knew it was coming, and even knew it would happen today. I haven't heard what his severance is, but it should last for a few months. Any T&Ps that he can get a decent job would be appreciated. 

On the plus side, he has lots of time to hang out with his mom this week and help me get ready for the move.

They actually gave him a heads up 2 weeks ago, because they knew we were buying a house and they wanted to give him the opportunity to back out of it if necessary. It was kind of them, because they usually don't give any heads up. It's frustrating, though, because they're cutting so many people--at least 3 others today. The company that had 140+ when DH started 11 years ago is now close to 50.

Dh has had a few interviews, and has several applications out, so we're hoping something comes up before the severance runs out.

I'm mostly disappointed because we wanted my mom and stepdad to come visit this summer, and now we really shouldn't be spending the money to fly them out.
