Father's Day

DH gets to pick what we do and eat that day. I picked up an Echo Dot when they were on sale and W made him a gift the last week of PreK. We have no idea what it is because it's already wrapped. I used to put so much more effort into gifts, but I seemed to have lost my creativity.

DH has to work on Father's Day, so I had to get creative. I ordered a dozen custom cookies all about him, logos from his schools and favorite bands, recreations of pictures Andrew has drawn him, etc. I pick them up on Saturday, and can't wait to see them.

MH is running his first marathon the day before so not sure how he'll be feeling. We were throwing around the idea of going to a baseball game on Sunday, but not sure.

Will's baptism is that morning, so no sleeping in 😁 I'm not sure what the rest of the day will entail-- most certainly grilling and beverages.

We will be driving home from vacation on Sunday so we will celebrate early. He said no gifts but I bought him a tshirt hoping we can toss one of his old ratty ones and a pair of pj pants. I need to take Ruby shopping to pick out a gift too. We may go out to eat one day with my family while we are here to celebrate. And we will make pineapple upside down cake either this week or next.

I just ordered this for Father's Day. He sent me the link last fall, I dropped the ball for his birthday/Christmas and Valentine's Day so even though I got nothing this year for Mother's Day (I told him I didn't want anything this year) I'm stepping up for Father's Day! I've gotten some very good Mother's Day gifts in the past, much better than I've given him! He deserves it.

lololol, I'll be driving back to Dallas while he and the kids hide at my mom's house while our house is showing. THANKS HUBBY LOVE YOU. We'll celebrate all the things once I'm home for good at the end of July and if/when we are all moved in. He bought a power washer for cleaning the outside for listing and I told him Happy Father's Day.
