It's the weekend!

Yay! How's everyone doing this morning?

I need to clean my H's beater car today. My brother and SIL are coming to visit next week and H is letting him borrow it. Any guesses how many bags of trash I will take out of it? I'm guessing 2 lol.

Later I may go to the local winery to have a picnic lunch, by myself lol. H is working and I don't want to sit home. I figured I would pack some cheese and crackers, get a glass of wine and relax. The band they have there today is pretty good.

We're going to a festival this morning. I was supposed to be able to stay home while H and DS hung out today, but it does not look like something fun to take a 2.5 year old by yourself.

It's at a park with a splash pad, so we might let DS play in the water since it's supposed to be pretty warm today.

That's all we have planned today, so I might try to take a nap when DS does.

Noooo plans! I can just clean and veg and destress while we plan our last minute trip for next week.

Oh, I did get my first Blue Apron shipment yesterday so I'll be trying some of those meals.

It's supposed to rain the whole time we're at the coast this weekend.

Our plan is to turn off our cell phones and just relax for a few days. We're packing some books and board/card games and puzzles and whatnot, and we're going to sit around and enjoy the ocean. Even with the rain, I'm really looking forward to taking a break from life.

We're on our way to a birthday party. It's the one that was canceled a couple months ago because they ended up having their baby early. I think they're going to set up some water stuff outside for the kids which is good because it's going to be HOT!

ILs aren't going because they almost burned down their house last night... they have a small caged in thing to burn papers in on their deck. It always made me nervous but they've never had issues until yesterday. I guess it was down to just ashes so they went to bed. MIL woke up at like 2:30 and realized the deck was on fire! No damage to the house, and the damage is pretty minimal but still super scary. So glad they caught it when they did!

I'm having a terrible customer service day. Starbucks messed up our order. Then USPS apparently delivered one of my shipments to wrong address. So pissed that it's lost and nothing can be done to fix it today. So I'm getting a pedicure, shopping, then date night.

We had a great date night last night! My step mom even offered to do this monthly so hoping we can take her up on her offer!

It's our actual anniversary today and L was awake at 5a- yawn! Boys will be napping soon and then we need to go to the grocery store to pick up dinner stuff and movie for later on tonight!

DH let me sleep in this morning! I didn't get up until 9! I needed that apparently.

E and I got him a haircut, then we did a little shopping (for flip flops for me and DH, nothing fancy). Then we ate lunch and now E is napping. The sandals I was wearing today broke just as we were leaving the restaurant to come home, so now I'm shopping online to replace those!

To make things better, FIL fell through a board trying to assess the damage so he's getting x rays for possible broken ribs. That man is so accident prone it's insane. OF COURSE he would do that, lol. I'm hoping nothings broken and he's not in too much pain. That deck wasn't in super great condition to begin with. I think they just need to totally redo it!

We went shopping and to lunch at the local airport. I am hoping I can convince DS to take more than his 15-minute car nap so I can nap too! Then I'm hoping to hop in the pool!

I've been doing a ton of grading, term ends tomorrow and final grades aren't due until Wed, but I need to have them done Mon before we leave....so I'm cramming lots in.

Dyed my hair, otherwise hanging out. DH & DS both have colds so we're trying to chill as much as possible today.

DH my sister and I spent today sanding drywall and priming walls. Tomorrow my parents are coming over so we can paint and work on some other things on the house.

Had a play date yesterday afternoon and 30 min before they got here the wind picked up our umbrella and smashed our glass patio table. We cleaned up all the glass we could see but I know there are probably tiny pieces. Playtime was moved to the grass.

Went to church with L this morning then picked up H and changed and went for a walk at the local park.

90 min massage scheduled for this afternoon. Ahhhh I can't wait!

awick14 this was my first order, which was free from a friend's coupon. We got three meals and although I haven't cooked them yet I have to say I am pleased with the quality and displeased with the quantity. The amount of food supposedly for two people seems not even enough for my husband, so we will legit have to cook extra stuff just to avoid being hungry which ruins the whole point of the service. The chicken meal included one measly chicken breast for us both, like 1/4 Cup rice, and 1 zucchini. For that reason alone I probably won't re order I'd be willing to try another company with bigger servings though.

rockinrobyn enjoy the massage. Sounds great!

amaranth He has a fractured rib Which sucks because there's not much they can do. Hopefully it heals quick!

We attempted to go shopping today (I have been looking everywhere for some maternity capris). Went to Target and the mall but a ton of other stores we tried to go to were out of power! We had a somewhat nasty storm roll through, luckily here it was just some wind, rain and the power at our house only went out for a few seconds. But where we went shopping, all the stores in a couple shopping centers had handwritten signs saying they had no power, lol. The storm was worse between here and my parents house. I have a few friends that had some damage to their houses but luckily it was just some siding damage and nothing too serious. Now we're back home relaxing!

Yesterday:
DH: Why don't you let me check with our next door neighbor?
Me: No! They would have brought it over if they had it!

Today:
Neighbor wife: Here's your package that my husband left sitting there unnoticed while I was out of town.

My mom asked if she could come swimming in our pool today. We said sure. Suddenly my mom, sister in law, brother, brother's girlfriend and my uncle show up for a pool party we did not know we were having. Good thing my house was moderately presentable (it isn't always!) and my mom brought food! We ended up spending five hours in the pool, and I am WIPED OUT.

We had a great day today! Lots of wine. Our friend from the fire house has a food truck and he was at the event so we ate well too. We bought 2 delicious looking cupcakes from a food truck on our way out and I want to dig into them but DH is fast asleep lol. I might eat one anyways.

Back to work tomorrow with H. I think our boss (my part time job) is going to start paying me in Disney points as motivation to work lol. He did book our hotel for next year! I can't wait to stay at the contemporary resort!
