What has everyone been working on? I decided to make a new thread
I started sewing this past weekend. I have done some in the past, but haven't had a place to put my machine (we just moved from a tiny house). Now that I have room for my machine and my crafts, I have been doing a bit more stuff.
I made a bunch of a-line skirts
And a little bag out of the leftovers. I have never worked with zippers before and I need more practice!
And of course I still am knitting. I finished these a week or so ago.
And I have a craft area! This doesn't include my sewing machine and fabric supplies. Just my knitting stuff.
Those socks are fantastic! And yay for a craft room. We are starting a basement renovation in the fall and I am really excited to have a dedicated space for everything.
I don't have any photos but I have two quilts at the CQA quilt show in Toronto this weekend as part of a modern quilting expo. Im sad I couldn't go but I have a wedding to attend. One of the quilts is the gift!
I am crocheting doilies for my Sister's wedding. She needs three more for table toppers. My Grandma scared up 15 old ones that we bleached and starched.

We are also planning our basement renovation this year. My husband has always dreamt about the place to store his wine collection. He wants something like this:
I also just sent in my application for a craft fair in September. So if that gets accepted, I'm gonna have to make up some more things to have in stock!!!
I'm working on sewing a book/organizer for all my knitting and crochet supplies. It's slow going, I'm making it up as I go along. I hope it comes out all right!
I made a few things tonight. I've lately been hand embroidering and made a new needles 'n notions book to pack along with my projects. I also took the same pattern and adjusted it slightly to accommodate a pen, crayons, and a small pad of paper. I made one for each of my kids and my niece. It's amazing how paper and something to draw with become a lifeline at a restaurant. LOL!

I just finished the top for a quilt I'm working on for my parents. My SIL contributed a few blocks, and my sister did a couple. It went surprisingly better than I planned as far as piecing it together (blocks were not a set size). It looks really random, but each block relates to my parents in one way or another.
I've since added a top and bottom border to protect the 1/4" seam allowance on the bottom. Finished size will be about 90" x 112". It's the largest quilt I've worked on by far.
