I am excited our cabinet doors came in today so we can pick them up this afternoon and then I can start to stain them so that we can get them on asap. Any tips MrsMB? (You stained your right?)
**@ related. We moved DD into her own room last night as she was waking up every hr the past few nights. She only woke up 3 times and once when I didn't go in right away she fell right back to sleep. So my goal of only feeding her twice worked well. 😞 I know this should be a good thing but she can't be getting old enough to be in her own room yet.
awww ((( awick14))) I thought the same thing when we moved E to his room (for the same reason--no one was getting sleep). it is a good thing, I promise.

Aww, *hugs* awick14! It goes so damn fast! I can't believe E is in a twin bed, singing the ABCs, speaking in almost compete sentences... It's insane. Why can't they be little just a tiny bit longer?!

So many ((hugs)) suzv. So sorry for your loss and your sister being a PITA. I am glad you got to see your grandma yesterday though.
awick14- it goes by way too fast. L still nursed 1x every night and I usually find myself holding him a little longer before putting him into his crib. As much as I can't wait to sleep again (he is up more than 1x pretty much every night) I am going to miss this stage so much. Also can't believe that C is 2.5 years old tomorrow and hasn't been a "baby" for quite some time now. He is likely starting preschool in oct too, which is good but so hard watching time go by so fast.
awick14 hey lady!!! We didn't stain ours....maybe it was amaranth maybe? Sorry I'm not any help (( you'll have to update us and post pictures though!!!!
suzv your sister is pissing ME off. That's NOT ok......I'm so sorry for your loss ((
Thanx ladies for the reassurance, I wanted to wait to move her until we moved to our new town in the fall but I guess it's going to happen now. I do love having the video monitor though as it was so easy to check on her with out getting out of bed. (I'm still a wreck about sids)
MrsMB- maybe it was amaranth- if not anyone else know who it was MrsAggie? (I thought it was a mrs)
DH uses a loofa in the shower and I don't like it as it never seems clean to me so I found a pattern on Pinterest to crochet one. I started it yesterday and it didn't take much time at all (maybe an hr so far and I'm almost done). If he likes it I will make 2-3 of them and then I can throw them in the wash with my towels.

I'm stuck at the gas station. I almost got stuck IN the car wash. My car just refuses to start or if it does it runs terribly for a minute and dies. Idk what's going on, I've never really had issues with my car H is on his way so I'm just waiting with E.
ETA I'm going to be SO PISSED if something major is wrong with my car. We can NOT afford this right now!
awick14 I have not actually stained in a traditional sense. I used a gel stain on some oak dressers where you don't have to sand or anything, you just apply gel stain on top of everything. Those came out good. I had cabinets and my stairway railing painted - largely because it was already painted and I just wanted the color changed.
suzv I'm so sorry to hear about your grandma. ((Hugs))

Home safe, check engine light still on but car was running. H thinks maybe some water got in during the car wash but who knows. Just hoping its nothing too bad!

We just got back from a little carnival in town and H is going to look at my car again and see if he can figure it out. If anything, he is working from home tomorrow so I can take his car and he can take mine up to find out why the lights on.
My H has a FOURTH interview for a job he really wants tomorrow. Please cross everything, say a prayer, send good vibes, rub your lucky rabbit's foot or do whatever else comes to mind. I am so hopeful and so nervous.
Ok so.. apparently the check engine light was on because the gas cap wasn't on all the way. I ALWAYS make sure it clicks a bunch of times so I have no idea how that happened. And I think the not starting thing was because I had put it in drive and forgot I shut it off while I was in the car wash, so I think I screwed something up there, lol. But it seems to be fine now! *sigh of relief*
krystee- prayers for your DH! Hope he gets an offer!
awick14- I also stained our cabinets at our old house (master bathroom). We sanded, used a gel stain (3 coats each side), and a clear coat (also 3 coats each side). It took forever but so thankful we did it because it looked amazing when it was done. I wish our cabinets here were better quality because I would totally redo all our bathrooms and would probably only paint the boys bathroom and stain the other two. Good luck!!

We had a play date at the library with different neighbor friends and then went to Yogurtland this afternoon! We also went to the park before naps but it was way too hot (the boys didn't seem to mind though). Busy but fun day! Relaxing now before heading to bed in the next hour or so!
Gald the car problem doesn't seem serious estrellita!
I'm beat. H had his last softball games tonight. DS absolutely loves going, but it means that I'm pretty much following him around for 2 hours while he plays.
MrsAggie- maybe it was that you painted your cabinets. I have such a horrible memory. lol.
luv2rn4fun- maybe it was you who I remember staining cabinets. I'm using a regular stain not gel. And I have done 2 coats on the inside of the doors and so far it looks great. I think 2 coats looks perfect, so I will just have to grab clear coat as I forgot to grab that today.
suzv *hugs* I'm sorry for your loss, and I'm sorry your sister can't be kind during this time
awick14 I bet you're remembering katespade who recently re-did her whole kitchen, but I'm pretty sure they used paint not stain. But I know they just did them I've yet to stain anything in my house. Anyway, I feel you on the baby room thing. We moved S really early because she wouldn't sleep near other people and it made me sad. It seemed like the first step of growing up
estrellita I hope your car is cheap and okay! Car issues are miserable.
Today I hiked 8.5 miles up a mountain to see amazing waterfalls (3!!) and a glacier lake. It was incredible. Then I walked about another 1.5 miles around Seattle to return some unused hiking gear and grab dinner. I'm scared for tomorrow. I'm likely to be quite sore.
amaranth- I saw your pictures on FB- truly amazing hike! Glad you were able to go!! Makes me miss hiking so much...it will be nice when the boys are old enough and can do these things with us!
L is getting ear tubes on Monday. I was told by the Dr. that the procedure was done at an outpatient clinic and not at the nearby hospital. (He could read it on my face that I did NOT want to do it there. He acknowledged that he knew people had "issues with the hospital." His words.) I had a BAD experience there when I had pneumonia complications last year...AND they had a malpractice issue (affecting an infant) hit national news. So NO, I'm not a fan. Well, was just notified that the outpatient surgery center doing the procedure is affiliated with the hospital system that owns that hospital. I know as a nurse recruiter, it's a different set of staff entirely. I can't tell if the physical reaction I am having is related to what I experienced there....or I'm just not thrilled about the association....and them getting money from me. I know it's a common procedure they do every single day....but yeah, there are also some Mom nerves there.
