Question for everyone about mod role

Hi all,

So I think when we set this board up last month, the admin made akafred and I mods by default, since we were both here scouting things out. I'm actually pretty new to WP and still learning the culture of WP board. It looks to me like everyone gets along pretty well and there isn't a whole lot of work for a mod, but I'm wondering if there is someone more appropriate for this role? I'm happy to step down and hand the role over to someone else, if it looks like this is where the group is going to be. Just let me know and I'll put in the request.

I don't think we ever had a mod? Did we? If so, who was it?

We did have a mod. kdc2007, I think?

If a mod is able to approve pending registrations, that would be awesome.

I don't think it matters who the mod is. We all kinda just chill and groove and no one throws a fit in here. Not at the moment anyway.

Hmmm .... I've poked around a little and it doesn't look like I have that power.

I am also not sure how to approve applications. I think that may be an admin function.

I was surprised when they made me a mod. I am happy to step back and give someone else the torch?

The global mods have to do this. I'll take a look the next time I'm at a computer.

I think the only thing our mods ever had to do was sticky things for us, like recipe threads. I'm more than happy for you two fine ladies to be the mods. We are a pretty tame bunch. I can't remember the last spat that was not amenable.

Agree - this group is chill. I don't recall and issue needing mod resolution or banning or whatnot.
