Eating oatmeal in bed again! Just 6 miles today. Then I'm headed to the pride parade with some friends!
So many questions about this. Do you prep the oatmeal before and leave it on the nightstand? Mini fridge by the bed? No judgement just curious. I'm up. I need to run soon. We have kids birthday parties all day but then I head to the beach for a girls trip!

Heading out for 5 in a few. Chance of rain is increasing throughout the morning. On a side note I pulled this out for the first time since the Boston Marathon and found my hotel key card in the pouch. Memories....light the corners of my miiiiind.
ETA I took a sip from that before I left the house and quickly realized I was leaving it behind. I apparently didn't wash the hand hold after the marathon and it smells......terrible doesn't even cover it.

Haha I do overnight oats, microwave it, and then get back in bed to eat it.
I slept in and it was fabulous. Im going to see when the rain stops and either do a short run outside, or at the gym. Either way im going to the gym to check out these spinner bikes i just noticed they have on the floor the other day. Wih monitors. Hoping theyre like pelatons minus the live classes.
Nothing H&F related for me; I sprained my ankle during a trail run. I am heading into work to set up my classroom for our new session that begins on Monday.

I've use these bikes before, and they are pretty cool with preloaded workouts on them. Have fun!
I am 8 miles into my run. I just had a drink of water and sat down on a stone wall that is so cold I just want to lay here forever.

Good to know! Thats what it looked like when i saw them the other day, they were being used so i couldnt check them out.

I'm up. Waited way too long to take Missy for a walk today and now I'm a sweaty mess. Damn summer. Next up is dog training class, then trying to decide if I take a nap today before pulling my all nighter at Western States.

Slept in until 8:45, had coffee then started studying. Just took a break for lunch. Back to studying, wash the floors maybe, study more, relax with H later and prep for Sunday long run and client session! Study study study.
I survived. I have no idea what my time was, but the first half of the swim was HORRIBLE, the bike was great, and the run got tough. I learned a LOT today and learned I have a LOT of work to do. Now, mimosas!

I crushed my 60 mile ride today. Like I haven't had this strong of a ride all year. There was a road at about mile 18 that we rode end to end. I rode the same road last year and almost sold my bike because it was THAT demoralizing (think over a mile of climbing, starting from almost a dead stop at the bottom due to a sharp 90 degree turn ending with a solid 15% grade for the last quarter mile), and when I got to the top of it today I pointed at the ground and said "I'm bigger than you, you sonofabitch". And never looked back.
3300ft of up today over 60 miles in just over three hours. And my ass is FIRMLY on the couch for the rest of the day.

As for me, just did seven glorious miles, mostly up and down hills.
The weather is perfection today. Now DD has a birthday party to attend and after DH will take the train/bike and meet us somewhere for burgers. Because this is burgers-and-beer weather.
It's 10pm, I'm home, drinking Norwegian beer. I did two triathlons today. Not a brilliant idea. BUT, I won the first one (age group) which was the longest distance I have done (800m swim / 44km cycle / 8km run) so far. The swim was good although it was a predominantly male wave and I copped a kick to the stomach halfway in. Predictably I sucked on the bike but my run pace made up for it. I then had to wait around to do a mixed relay with my Tri club which was tons of fun!

I was out early this morning for a 4 mile run. I went to a lake loop so my husband and daughter came with and did a little fishing while I ran. I joined them afterwards, made for a fun morning.
I've been transitioning from treadmill running to outside and it has not been easy. But today, I crushed it!
