Hi! I taught at a private school for GT students for 2 years, then taught GT 2nd through 4th grade at a public school for 7 yrs, and then gen ed 4th grade for 4 years. Last year I took a job in curriculum and professional development, so I'm now starting my 2nd year out of the classroom. I'm also getting my admin license and should have it in November.
Your dog looks just like whippet Kirby who I follow on instagram. Lol. So cute! ...whippet and greyhound mama here!
I am in my 10th year teaching math at the community college level (everything from remedial to calculus for engineers, including statistics for non-majors and specialized areas). Prior to this, I taught dual college math to high schoolers and physics. I am tenured and recently got promoted to full professor, so I have to quit thinking that I am new faculty (everyone stays a really long time at my institution so I was the first hire in over 5 years in my department. We recently got a few newbies though, so I am moving up the roster).

I have been a school counselor for 7 years in a large PK - 8 ESL / bilingual school. Previously I was a special needs teacher for 10 years. II have my principal certification and hopefully become a principal in my current district.
This will be my first year as a teacher. Yesterday I accepted a Kindergarten position. My student teaching internship was in a Kindergarten classroom, so I am quite excited and also really anxious because I didn't get to experience the beginning of the school year with my class. I know I have a lot to plan to help the students transition into K.
I teach middle school (8th and 6th for now) social studies and 8th grade sex ed. Quaker school in the Philadelphia area. Upcoming year will be my 18th (!), 14th at this school. I have taught 8th grade all but one year, when I taught 10th.
I'm also a reluctant administrator (as a grade dean) and the middle school diversity, inclusion and equity coordinator (which is work I love and am hoping to do more of)
"Hello babies. Welcome to Earth. It's hot in the summer and cold in the winter. It's round and wet and crowded. On the outside, babies, you've got a hundred years here. There's only one rule that I know of, babies-"God damn it, you've got to be kind.”
Hi! I will be starting my 19th year of teaching in September. I work in the Capital Region in New York. I am certified 7-12 in general science, Chemistry and Biology. I have taught: General Science, Regents Earth Science,Non-Regents Biology and Chemistry, Regents Living Environment and Regents Chemistry (this is what I currently teach.) I have taught in the same school for the whole 19 years. My school is small, but is in a city, and is a high needs school. I love my school, even though it can be challenging at times. I am the Senior Class and Student Government advisor. I love that this board exists!!!
Hey! I also teach in the cap district in a small urban school that's high needs! I teach elementary, though. City ends in -ady.
I'm going back to 4th next year from first. I LOVED teaching first even though my class was very challenging. I taught 4th the previous year and hated it . I really prefer the younger grades.
Hi! This year will be my 8th year teaching. I taught 1st for 6 years and just finished my first year teaching 3rd. I'll be teaching 3rd again this year and some 2nd grade subjects as well.
The 2017-18 school year will be my 10th. I taught 1st-1 year, 4th-1 year 3rd-6 years. Last year I left the classroom and made up a new position at my school. My title is Behavior Interventionist and I provide coaching for trauma based practices in the classroom, small group social emotional learning, 1:1 SEL coaching with kids. My job is kind of being paid through admin next year so we are working on using restorative justice. I am also in charge or rolling put RULER (if anyone has advice for me please let me know) and figuring out how it fits with Second Step.
Hi! I usually just lurk but I would be more likely to post here. This will be my 10th year teaching. I teach autistic Support in Philly and this coming September we are going to try full inclusion with my class. I will be sharing my room with the regular ed class and their teacher. Fingers crossed it goes well.

I spent the past 6 years doing math and LA for 8th grade. This next school year is completely changed. I'll have 6th-8th grade, Science, SS, and reading.

They used Read 180 prior to me starting here. They cut the resource sections two years ago- everything is now cotaught. I'm using an LLI program for my reading classes this year.

I just finished my 11th year teaching. I am certified K-6 but I strongly prefer the upper grades. I am entering my 5th year teaching 3rd grade. I have previously taught 5th and 4th.

I taught 2nd grade for 18 years, but moved to Kindergarten last year. I used to be known as the teacher in the area who used stability balls as seats in my classroom. I actually did not find that it worked well last year in Kindergarten, which is just as well. I had applied for and received 2 one time grants to pay for those balls and they are past their expiration date.
This year I will be teaching Kindergarten again and also any students who qualify as ENL (English as a New Language)in Kindergarten will be in my class. So far I have students who speak Spanish and Albanian.
I an in New York State.
I am also a National Board Certified teacher, deciding if I want to re-certify soon. It lasts for 10 years. Or it did at the time. I know a lot of things have changed.
