I am in northern Canada. I have taught ABE, and some communications courses at a college, then moved to an 8-12 school where I did social studies, some English and special education.
Now I am the principal of a k-12 school, with a large indigenous population. Unless I get the job I am hoping for (which means a move back to DHs hometown), I will also be teaching JH social studies and JH tech/religion/health.

Thanks for starting this board!
Whoa! That's a lot of lesson plans on top of being a principal!
I'll be teaching High School Civics, so mostly 9-10th graders. This will be my first time teaching high school.
I love teaching high school! This past year taught grade 10s and it was great! They can have informed discussions, but aren't (too) steeped in bias to listen to the other side of an argument!

Hi! I usually just lurk but I would be more likely to post here. This will be my 10th year teaching. I teach autistic Support in Philly and this coming September we are going to try full inclusion with my class. I will be sharing my room with the regular ed class and their teacher. Fingers crossed it goes well.

I'm starting my 10th year of teaching in August. I teach high school English--mainly seniors (a few senior electives, plus the dual-credit college writing course) and one section of juniors/American Lit.

2017-2018 will be my 14th year in NYC public school.
I taught 3rd grade for 3 years, and 4th grade for 10 years. For 5 of those years, I only taught math, which I loved. I have been teaching in an ICT class for the last 3 years.
Next year my co-teacher and I are going to 5th grade with about half of our current students. I'm equally nervous and excited about the grade change.

2017-2018 will be my 13th year in Education. I've taught elementary and middle school. Mostly math, but I've taught every content area at some point over the course of my career. I've spent my summers working as a curriculum writer in my district for the past several years. I'm hoping that will help me land a supervisory position in curriculum and instruction down the road. I have my master's and principal certification. I'm just starting to explore positions outside the classroom.
I spent the past 6 years doing math and LA for 8th grade. This next school year is completely changed. I'll have 6th-8th grade, Science, SS, and reading.

The fall will mark my seventh year in schools, and my fourth as a school counselor. I started out teaching high school English, and I still teach US History in addition to my counseling duties. (Charter schools, man. lol)

Hi!
I was a fifth grade teacher for years and now I'm a preschool head start teacher for a dc public school (public school here starts at age 3. How bad ass is that). This is by far the hardest job I have ever had. I miss the older kids but this was the first job offer I got.

Also an NYC teacher, just finished my 3rd year in the Bronx.
Next year I'm teaching Chem 1/2 and Physics. So mostly 10th and 11th with a few 12th graders.
I've also taught a pre-chem and Earth science classes in the past (and I hope never to teach them again!).
I also completed the Blended Learning Institute through Pace University.

This will be my 8th year teaching elementary school. The majority have been in 5th grade but have also taught 3rd and 4th. However I am certified all the way through HS. Eric is also a teacher and a HS football coach.
I spent 2 years as a preschool SpEd para, then 2 years as a Head Start teacher asst. This past year I SAH with my DS. This coming school year I'll be subbing. My goal is to end up as a para in an elementary school.
I teach elementary special ed full inclusion. My main population is 3rd-5th but the other teacher is only half day so I also work with K-2 in math. This will be my 16th year of teaching is the western part of Maryland (re: rural as hell)
