A is going camping with my parents later this week and then Friday we leave for KS, so she's going to have a busy week! When we get back we only have a month until she starts school. We
rjamz I love the dresses you are making, you always find the best fabric! Which type of the custom knit/jersey do you usually get? There's performance, modern, cotton spandex, and cotton ultra knit and I can't find where they explain the difference.

Daniel is having surgery this morning for some fillings. He had a really bad gag reflex and we just don't get a good job done on his back teeth.
His appointment was for 11, they called and asked us to be here for 10, H thought we might hit traffic so we left a little early and ended up here at 9:45. They didn't even call us back until 11:30, so far we have talked to the nurse but we are still just sitting here waiting. He hasn't eaten since 7:30 last night, he's doing so much better than I expected. This is really just cruel to do to a child, I feel so bad for him, I know he's starved (I am too because I told him I wouldn't eat until he could).

Finally almost done with this nightmare. The other driver's insurance is finally handing over a check for our vehicle today. Now I have to continue to scour the web for a new van and hope we get as lucky as we did with our last one. Also this week is my last week working! Ahhh! I can see the light at the end of the tunnel.

I'm around. I'm still interviewing for preschool jobs. I have a second interview/practical tomorrow for a school I would love. Another school should be checking references.
We took the binky away from Amelia this week. She somehow learned about the tooth fairy bringing money and was sad her teeth haven't fallen out yet so the binky fairy came and left her dollars. My two year old is motivated by money.
rjamz I love your dresses too. I'm hoping by August I'll have some fun spending money to buy one for Amelia's bday

I'm really annoyed.
I'm sorry they made you wait so long! How'd it go?

It went well! They were able to get better X-rays once he was asleep so they were able to fix a few other spots that were weak and fixed those too before they become a problem. I wasn't the least bit surprised he had cavities, he has a really small mouth and a bad gag reflex, I know we don't brush them very well. Combine that with the fact that he was terrified of the dentist and flat out refused to go until a few months ago, I'm actually pleased it wasn't more. He's getting better and they were able to do a good cleaning today too while he was out so I think that should help him clean them better. I am dreading the 6 year molars, those babies are permanent, these are going to fall out, I'm not worried about these ones.
He did really well, was obviously really groggy when we left and had a nap when we got home but he's up bouncing around now despite dr orders to sit on the couch and watch tv until bedtime (we keep making him sit back down, he just doesn't sit well for long).
We're at the beach and I just had to go get a Zofran script for A. She vomited 3x on the 4 hour drive, and about a dozen since we got here at 2. Hoping to stay out of the ER

sandj82110, I'm glad he did well! I'm not looking forward to any permanent teeth either, I wish they came in much later, like teens lol. Less time to get cavities in them.
lauranicole91, super cute! It will probably shrink a bit too once it's washed. I feel like that dress style is pretty forgiving too, I bought A a size up and it still looks fine.
vthokie, Oh my, what a rough day for A and you guys, I hope she is feeling better tomorrow!
lauranicole91 , is that from the gymbo outlet? What size is she typically? We got the pencil dress last year in a 7 and she outgrew it pretty quickly. I was sad. I think she would need a 10 for length. The dress below barely covers her butt, her bike shorts stick out

Yes, gymbo outlet. She's normally a 2t or 3t. She's got long lanky legs, so I'm always struggling to keep her butt covered, but not have the straps fall off her shoulders or look like she's wearing an oversized trash bag.

H called it the potato sack dress. I think it is really cute but I don't think that I can mentally buy her a size 10. I'm not ready for her to be in that size. We have the same problem with things being cut too wide for her. Her legs are catching up to her long torso. She currently is wearing size 5 shorts but size 7 shirts.

A is in a size 5 or 6 usually, I bought the one P is wearing in a 6 and it's a bit big. She's about 44" now. I think they're supposed to be more tunic like just based on where they put the bow/tie thing.

Katelyn wore the pencil dress in a size 7 last fall. It barely goes past her butt. I was thinking a 10 to get it to above her knees. I think she's at least 4' now. She's already wearing other size 7 gymbo dresses. It seemed this one ran really small.
A is officially gone for 2 nights! I'm excited for her that she has grandparents that can take her on small trips. I always wished mine could have growing up, so I'm glad she gets that experience.
H loves being an only child for awhile, gets to play with all his favorite toys without fighting over them lol
@lindy did you see what someone in the Simple Life FB group did? They sewed up one of the patterns in plain white cheap muslin and then let their kids tie dye them. I loooove that idea!!
