Happy weekend! Any fun plans?
No fun plans here. H is working but since I am not suppose to lift, I decided to stay home. I'll go tomorrow. I've got a workout planned and am going to research some new healthy recipes using the ingredients I bought yesterday. Btw, I found protein cookies at Walmart yesterday. I may have displayed my excitement a little too loud and a older lady laughed at me lol. DH hasn't been really eating breakfast so I bought him Premier protein shakes and of course he didn't bring it with him, took the chocolate milk though.
Sunday I'll go to work with DH. I can wire the show and do odds and ends people hate doing.
Hope you have a great weekend wineandcheese and are able to enjoy work a little tomorrow.
We start potty training in the next hour or so. Excited and nervous to see how it goes. I bought him Mickey Mouse underwear and he was so excited...he seriously loves Mickey like no other!
Date night tonight and I can't wait! We are going to BJs and they have a new wheat beer that is seasonal and their normal hefeweizen that I love (it's one of my favorite beers).
We are going to a family get together on MIL's side today, then headed to my parents house. It's been a yearly thing put on by MIL's cousin when he comes to visit from Poland! Just hope Tylenol can keep my pain at a minimum so I can enjoy it!
No plans at all for this weekend. H is working today, tomorrow, and Monday, so I'm on my own for the next few days. I should probably run a few errands at some point, but I also just kind of want to be lazy for a while.
It's our anniversary so we have a super sexy, romantic day planned. Costco and Home Depot! hahaha. That's marriage for you. (We did our more fun anniversary stuff in Seattle last week).
We are mostly working on the house and preparing for our big 4th of July Party. Last year we had over 50 people here for the 4th, this year is looking more like 35 and that is a much better number.
Flying home today and I am so glad. I have enjoyed our vacay but I am ready to go home. Not looking forward to the long flight which makes me anxious but will be happy when it is over.
I am finally coming up for air after a rough week. So far the kids and I went to a playground this morning and picked up lunch. H has been working in the yard all morning because we decided to have a 4th of July party on Tuesday. I agreed only because it's our immediate families and everyone will bring something. Plus, the grandparents will likely fight over holding/entertaining my kids so I might be able to actually get in my own pool for the first time!
H promised I could get a pedicure when he is done with yard work. I still have the polish on my toes from before G was born and he's almost 7 weeks.
Also, my H is a state worker and our governor just shut down the state government. It would be great if H is home on Monday, but now apparently the governor says he won't be paid if that's the case. That wouldn't be good at all since he's our sole income at the moment.
We are going to the ILs after nap time. We will be out late late but it will be a fun night.
amaranth Happy Anniversary! luv2rn4fun GL potty training. G hasn't used the potty once yet so I'm still waiting until she will actually go to think about PTing.
Happy anniversary amaranth! MrsMB- have a great date tonight!! Blue Moon- I hope you get to rest on Tuesday! Yay for a pedicure and getting out to the park! Way to go mama! melsamoony- hope your flight home goes well! estrellita- hope you can enjoy yourself without any pain this weekend. ((Hugs))
Thanks ladies! So far we have had 6 accidents but none since 8a LOL. No poop yet though. I did my hair just now and am relaxing before they both wake up. DH's BFF invited himself, wife, and two kids over sometime after nap time. Not too thrilled about it but told DH they can come over but he is 100% responsible for C if they do (every time they come over the guys do their thing and leave me with the kids (usually the wife stays home...much better when she comes but it's still us taking care of the kids while they have fun...no thank you).
We decided last night to drive up to MILs today (2.5 hour drive if we make no stops ). We'll leave tomorrow after breakfast.
Tomorrow when we get home a mom from my mom's group is hosting a small (3-4 couples) BBQ. Other than that, no plans for Monday or Tuesday and H has both days off.
Anyone have recommendations for non-breakable glasses? H just broke another one, lol. I like the ones we have but they break SO easily in the sink. We have ones from Target that have a design that kinda reminds me of flames but they don't make those anymore. Any particular brands that are more sturdy?

All our new ones break constantly, but our thick ancient ones from thrift stores seem indestructible. Maybe you could look there for older kinds of glass?
The short, wide ones from Ikea are also quite stable. Those get knocked around a fair deal and manage to be mostly in tact. They may actually be from crate and barrel. Hmm. Let me look for a link and get back to you

That's not a bad idea, I'll have to look around! I have thought about Ikea too, they have good prices which is nice. We need both big and small ones, though we have a few other random smaller glasses (ones that came with liquor gift packs, lol) so we could probably wait on the small ones for now.
I'm so tired. Yesterday we hosted a party for my grandma's 90th birthday which turned out really well but was a lot of work. Today we went to my nephews birthday party, and both days, C skipped her nap. She had the meltdown of the century tonight before bed because my husband carried her upstairs and she wanted to walk.
