Weekend randoms

I feel like everyone else has a long weekend except my H. He even has to work the morning of the 4th. Stupid finance stuff.

We have a bday party today and no other plans. I slept like crap so I wouldn't mind a nap.

My DH has to work Monday but has Tuesday off. We don't have any set plans for the 4th yet. We usually have a get together at our house but my BIL and his family are on vacation so we didn't plan anything.

I didn't sleep well last night because Ruby slept with us. We have been transitioning her to her bed. She was all over me all night. So I'm grumpy.

No long weekend for me. Work Monday but off Tuesday. Daycare is closed Monday so MH is off with the kids.
I found one city nearby that has fireworks Monday night so I think I'll take W then vs Tuesday. I don't want him up that late on a night that he has to get up for school/daycare the next day

I was off yesterday and we're doing Canada day stuff all weekend.

We're at the beach for a week. The boys have bunk beds in their room and B is ecstatic.

The kids didn't go to sleep until 10:30 last night and were up at 7 this morning. I am surprised we didn't have more meltdowns today than we did, they're used to sleep 11-12 hours a night. Luckily we got them to sleep by 8:30 tonight.

Tomorrow is the Lego place in KC and then bbq! Oh how I've missed KC bbq.

My h will work Monday but not Tuesday
A decided he didn't want to nap today. At 5 he fell asleep on the couch lol good try buddy but a 2 year old needs to nap

I gotta work tomorrow but off on Tuesday. H only has off tomorrow as that is his normal day off but he works on Tuesday. He's also pulling in 12 hour days this weekend. I think the break from kids tomorrow will help for Tuesday.

If the kids cooperate, i.e. not kill each other the minute I leave the room, I'm going to be canning today. Pickles are on the agenda. If not, I'm going to skip going to the Phillies game tomorrow and do it then. I have at least 18 pints of pickles if not more. I'm still harvesting cucumbers.

I'm going to go to the liquor store today.....this is big news because MN just passed a law to allow liquor stores to be open on Sundays! For the last 15 yrs if I wanted liquor on Sunday I either had to plan ahead and go Saturday or drive 30 mins to WI or just go without!

I hate on call weekends, I have worked ALL day today, but it's almost over and tomorrow is a short day!

I'm trying to decide if I am brave enough to take G, who still haaaaaates loud noises, to fireworks on Tuesday. I wonder if I can scrounge up ear plugs before then? I loved loved loved fireworks growing up.

I can sleep in slightly for a work day tomorrow! DC is closed and mh is staying home so I only have to worry about getting myself up and ready, instead of both kids too. It's the little things! Lol!
