4th of July randoms

What is everyone up to today? We are heading to the parade in a little bit. Do other towns still have those or is that part of our small town charm?

No cookout plans, probably hang around the pool and maybe if they take an afternoon nap we can go see the fireworks tonight. My cat was spooked last night by the random fireworks.

It's supposed to pour all day here, I know there are parades in the area, I'm not sure if they will go ahead or not. My kids have no expectations for today having never been here for the 4th so they won't be upset to miss things since they don't know anything about them.

Last night everyone set off fireworks all around us, it was a pretty impressive display, Alexander asked to go to bed st 9 but Daniel stayed out until 10 watching it all. They're both still asleep now thankfully.

Having a handful of friends over to grill and do fireworks.
My house is currently a wreck though, so we will have a busy morning cleaning. Haha.

We went out for donuts this morning, probably beach now, pool in the afternoon. There's fireworks at the park, but we can see then from our condo so I don't know if we'll schlep the 10 blocks or not.

Cleaning today, in preparation to go back to work tomorrow. Our parade was Saturday, firework display was Sunday, and we had our cookout Sunday. I'm guessing we're not doing anything today. Also, its rainy, so that stinks.

We are going to my BIL's to use the pool and grill out later. They are out of town but they don't mind if we use it. My other BIL is doing the same but I don't care for fiance much so I hope they go earlier than us. Then later tonight we will go to the fireworks. My MIL wanted to go out to eat but we told her to just meet us at BIL. I'm cranky today and don't want to put up with socializing really. I've been cranky a lot which I'm blaming on pregnancy, I don't think I'm getting enough sleep.

I know we are grilling and walking over to our playground on the hill to watch fireworks, but I'm not sure what else we have going on.

I'm also in the midst of another de cluttering kick. I dropped off almost all of my maternity clothes at the consignment shop the other day-- I thought I'd be more sad to see them go, but nope! Totally ready to pass them on.

It stormed last night and the weather is gorgeous today. Sunny and only in the low 80's by noon.

G slept in until 7:15 (hallelujah!) and had a blast at the park with a little friend he met there. At first I thought he'd just been watching too much Peppa Pig, but evidently they were visiting. Lol.

Fighting a headache, but deciding between decorating cookies with G later or attempting a 4th of July craft.

back in Dallas, for 17 days for the last haul of my training this summer. Going to miss the kiddos. Then only 10 days before we move once I get home! This next month is going to be crazy.

Mine aren't phased by them at all, but I also don't think my kids are normal 😂. They were playing with something, not paying any attention to them and one of those really loud ones went off, they didn't even look up, everyone else jumped. One of the kids on the street wore noise cancelling headphones, I thought that was a great solution!
