Any chance you have a picture (or would take a picture) of your Whipping Post tote over your shoulder? I want this tote but I'm not sure how far down off the shoulder/into the armpit it hangs... I need the straps to be long enough so I can still get it over my shoulder in the winter when wearing my big down jacket! I stopped at the Madewell store last night and while I like their tote, I'd prefer longer straps. Thanks!

I have a WP tote. I think I posted a pic here once. Let me find it.

It's about 11 inches from the top of the bag to the top of the arch of the straps when held together.  Does that make sense?  I wish they were a little longer.  I'm only 5 foot tall and sometimes the straps annoy me because they are a touch short for my liking.

Thanks! I used the search function for rjamz as I knew she had one, and saw that Sunshine and Steph had also responded saying they had them... so hence their tags.

That looks to have enough clearance from the top of the bag to the armpit... I just measured my current one and that too is 11" so hopefully they are long enough. Thanks!

No worries about the lack of a tag! I meant that I knew I had taken a picture and posted it here at one point when everyone was talking about the bag

I don't have a pic, but I think you would be happy with the length of the straps. My friend got a different version (same brand) the one with the pocket on the outside, and the straps are a bit short on that one.


I still love this bag, my sister bought one, and she loves hers too. I got a Kate Spade for Christmas and can't bring myself to switch away from the tote to it... so it sits in my closet.
