I can't believe everyone saying that it's not your fault. You didn't put a leash on the dog. The dog got away. It's dead. It's your fault, end of story.

Isn't it a law in most places?
You are such a fucking piece of shit..You are a fucking idiot and I wnt to punch you in your head

It was an accident, not like you meant for it to happen. Don't beat yourself up, I am so sorry!
ETA: All the pathetic, kick people when they're down, piece of shit AEs can go fuck themselves. What a bunch of dicks. Post under your real names, cunts. Let's see how brave you are then to be so vile and vicious.
Oh come on. She's been through a lot, she feels terrible, so everyone rightly consoles her.
But it was her fault! Had she come on here and said that she was out of town and the person who was watching her PUPPY didn't leash it and it got hit and died you all would be raging against the person responsible to watch her dog.
The AEs could have been less dickish.
Just as it was your fault your kid went to the ER. Stop having such a pointy table around little kids.
It was an accident that the dog got hit by a car, but ultimately you were careless. I know you already feel bad, and I'm not trying to make you feel worse. We're all a little careless sometimes, and often things work out fine. This time, things went wrong.
Then why say this? It's not like she wasn't already aware of this.

Please point to all the posts where people said it wasn't her fault. Please
Did you even read the comments? Plenty of people said it wasn't her fault!!!!!!!!!

Besides the 6 separate posts saying those exact words in the first two pages?
You all would not be saying "oh it was an accident" if she had posted this and it had been her dog that got hit! You would be shredding the person who was responsible to shreds!
I need to leave this thread...all of the assholes that are TRYING to make her feel worse and go fuck off.
The AE suck and studytime, why did you need to post that? Because she does not already know what happened?
I'm sorry. You're right. I'll delete, and if everyone could edit to unquote me, that'd be great. I mean you don't have to, but what I said was heartless and I don't want it to continue to hurt jlm.
So sorry this happened jlm I agree with what SueSue said I would just keep saying you're sorry and express it in a note, or gift, and if it was a valuable puppy dog then I would offer to pay the owner

I'm not an AE, I lurk on most boards (including this one). Pianoman is right, however, that there were at least half a dozen posts on the first page saying it wasn't her fault.
It's horrible it happened for everyone involved, but it could have been prevented. Lesson learned.
Also, you state the the leash was not by the door, but it slipped your mind to put it on? Obviously it didn't slip your mind if you noticed it was not there.
