My 5+ year old Nook will no longer work to read ebooks (it'll still work for things already loaded on it but I can't load new stuff) soooo I'm looking for a new tablet. I used my Nook primarily to read ebooks checked out from the library, some Netflix watching and some web browsing. What tablet do you have that you like?
I'm assuming that there will be specials on Kindles this week on Prime day, so that's kind of what I'm leaning towards, but wanted to see if there were better recs out there. Also, any specific Kindle you recommend?

I like my kindle paperwhite. I just read books from the library on it and my free prime books. Unfortunately you cannot watch Netflix. The baby has a kindle fire and watches videos on Netflix and whatever is on prime. It also does books. I prefer the paperwhite for myself... I like the non-glossy screen and how lightweight it is.
I love my paper white but it is not compatible with my library's ereader books. If I want something g from the library I have to get it on my phone or the actual book.
You can join another library for ebooks. One library about an hour away as a good movie streaming program as well as ebooks. I would see what else is in your area and join.

I like my paper white as well. H has a fire and I have an ipad and I don't really like reading on them. I also like that when I sit to read on my kindle I don't get distracted on here or FB, it's just for reading. I can get books from my library through Overdrive. It's really easy, and then I can read them on the kindle app on my phone or ipad if I don't have my kindle with me.
Glad to see the paperwhite love. My old kindle won't download books anymore either. I have to hard download them on and that's a pita. Paperwhite may be my next gift
