Ugh. We were 95% sure we were going to send W to a STEM charter school. Everyone that I talked to said their kids loved it there. I hesitated a little as this past school year was it's first, but everyone had nothing but positives to say about the school. Well, the school board has turned out to be real shady, fired the director pretty much without reason and has not responded to repeated requests from parents. Issues have been brought up to local media and the dept of education and there has been little response from the board or the authorizer. It makes me nervous to send him there with all this weird stuff with the board/authorizer.... so I'm pretty sure that he'll just go the public school instead.
I'm working 4 10 hour days during the summer, so I haven't had much chance to catch up! I feel like every second of our lives is scheduled right now, and it really sucks.
A started swim lessons today. She's so close to swimming I'm hoping this will push her to get there. She loves it but H was so so mad he didn't get to swim too :/ I felt bad, but they don't start until age 3.

That's how charters around here are. The boards are made of parents who have no understanding and they just fire people like crazy It's great for staffing lol

@lindy ktstorm we had the same issue! Back in May C wanted to swim so bad but lessons don't start until age 3. I promised to take them to neighborhood pool to practice with L after his lessons. Sure enough, both of them are now swimming without Floaties!!! C actually started swimming before L 🤣 But C isn't really strong enough to pull himself up for air, so still needs close supervision.

Corinne is in such an annoying phase for naps. Today it took her 90 minutes to fall asleep (lots of playing, singing) and I'll have to wake her early for our afternoon plans. She's going to be so grumpy, ugh.
Alex fights naps so bad. We are on vacation so we took a drive to help him sleep. Luke fell asleep! Now I have a napping 5 year old and a cranky 2 year old
I feel like I am hemorrhaging money lately and today's foundation inspection only added to the misery. I know next year will bring a little relief, but I want to stamp my foot and cry this afternoon. Blah.
On a happier note, I have another 4 day week! G and I are headed home to visit my parents for the weekend and I took Friday off so we could squeeze in a trip to the beach.

I went to a chiropractor today for the first time ever. He said I everything was so inflamed the only thing he would be willing to do today is the tens machine and a little manual massage. I do feel slightly better so I'm calling it a win I guess. I'm going back Wednesday and hopefully he work me a little more, I'm majorly lopsided, I can't even straighten myself up if I try to push through the pain, it's like it's not physically possible.
We arrived at 4am Sunday morning and it's a 2.5 hour time difference from Arkansas so the boys have been pretty off any schedule since we got here to say the least. I called H just before the boys went to bed which resulted in Daniel sobbing because he misses him. He's fine all day, hasn't even mentioned him but it could be a long 3 weeks.
