Now that we're fully in summer or winter, depending on your seasons, what plans do you have? Any holidays being taken? Any cool adventures?
We're not doing too much. We're going to an Oyster Festival on the coast in 1-1/2 weeks with another couple and my dad and SM are visiting in August. Other than that, we're trying to take advantage of any warm, sunny weather and have bbqs or picnics.
We are firmly planted in our fall season - school has started and the weather is quite nice with a few showers here and there. We have no big travel plans for the next few months (at least until December), since we're gearing up for the arrival of our 2nd in about 11 weeks. My parents are coming to stay for 4 months so that'll be nice to have them around. Other than that, nada
Nothing this summer. We went to California for Christmas AND spring break this year, so we're having a quiet summer. We're throwing around ideas for next year though - Scotland, or maybe France.
We are repatriating today. I'm posting this on our horrifically long flight home. We have Christmas plans to visit OOT family. But otherwise we'll just be settling in, dealing with new schools and all that rigamarole.

It's winter here, and I have no real plans until the end of August, when I've got tickets to the local theater group production of Chicago for my birthday. And then we're seeing the Alice in Wonderland ballet at the end of September, followed by one of the productions at the pop-up Globe Theater in October (my vote is for Much Ado About Nothing or Othello, but it will depend on timing and what my mother-in-law wants to see -- she's a Shakespeare teacher, so we're leaving the choice to her). DH has tickets to see Paul McCartney at the beginning of December and then we're headed to the US for three weeks over Christmas/New Year's for a visit with family and a partial-transit Panama Canal cruise.
So a lot of theater productions, but nothing really exciting.
Since DD2 was born in June, we decided not to travel to the States this year. My mom will be here July 26 and staying for 2 weeks, one of which we're spending in Bordeaux.
We also did a short trip to Agde (Mediteranian), which was lovely.
H is arriving on Tuesday for a month. We don't have any travel plans other than attempting to go camping with our DD. I hope it's fun, but I'm also fully prepared to give up and go home early if we end up being miserable.

I way to go camping! Our gear is all in storage in the US. I hope it goes smoothly!

I've always loved camping, so I think it will probably be fun. We're going to a campsite with facilities, and it's not too far from where we live so it's hardly "wilderness" in the usual Canadian sense. There's a fire ban, so no campfire, but I think it's for the best with a toddler anyway.

I'm leaving in 2 weeks for a month long trip to Europe with DD. We'll be visiting family and friends in France, Switzerland and the Netherlands so a few days of driving but we will have plenty of time to see everyone and also do our own thing here and there.
