I got together with a friend last week. I had some family over for the weekend. I tried to be mindful of my fluid consumption, especially since it was soooo hot for several days. That's about it.
I haven't yet thought through my week for this week yet, so we shall see what self care is in store.
Last week: I managed to walk twice on the treadmill.
Diet was thrown out the window due to my pms. It turns out I have to eat more during this past week so I will not feel sick with a migraine or feel weak.
On Friday and Saturday, I felt I had to be charitable with MIL even though she changed her story twice and she irritated me to no end all weekend with things that don't make sense. I told DH about it. I am just counting the days where DH and I would not put up with her nonsense because we will be too far away.
On Sunday, DS and I went to the movies at DH's suggestion. We saw Despicable Me 3. DH was suggesting we take MIL to the movies weeks back and DS did not want to go. I am so glad DH didn't suggest that we invite MIL to come.
This week: I would like to walk on the treadmill two more times.
I am definitely going to be more into diet this week. I ate most of the extra large popcorn I shared with DS yesterday at the movies.
DS wants to put a care package for DH together. We got two hot wheel cars, a water bottle and DS's letter so far. DH said no more chips because he gained 10 lbs. What else could I put when DS feels we need to send it?
Challenge: I did get an invite from a female coworker to lunch for tomorrow which I will have to cancel because the ST changed therapy days. I am just going to have to move it to Thursday. I am feeling like I don't want to go because I don't have anything interesting to say. I am going to be down about this because I suck socially.
I have lived in places where one can sometimes be excused if primary caregiver for someone who is disabled/elderly/nursing infant etc. Criteria seem to vary depending on jurisdiction. Maybe you could get out of it? Good luck in any caseSaveSave

I was planning to plead that exact situation, but as luck had it they weren't seating any juries today so I got dismissed around 12:30. Yay!
There are a couple of really ugly cases on the docket right now, so I am happy to be home.
