My coworker has cancer. Some serious stuff right there. Anyways, she starts chemo on Thursday and I'd like to get her.. something. Nothing big, nothing fancy, nothing expensive or that will make things awkward. (We are not the kind of office that shares Christmas presents or birthday presents - we are the kind of office that goes out to lunch as a team when it's being expensed.)
Maybe some good books to read while in treatment? Or an iTunes gift card for new music while in treatment or resting? It's nice if you to think of your coworker. I'm sure it's tough right now.

A pashmina/wrap to stay warm while receiving treatment. An Amazon gift card along with recommendations for music, audiobooks, movies/tv, kindle books. An Uber gift card for days she doesn't feel up to driving herself around. Magazines, crosswords, coloring books.

I've always heard a nice blanket or wrap of some sort is nice. A friend of ours that has cancer posted a picture of her H sleeping on her neck pillow during one of her treatments, so that could be another option.

Amazon Prime? It just seems like the gift that keeps on giving... In this case, it gives you a bunch of free videos that she could watch on her phone during treatments. Or maybe just 3 mos of Netflix as a cheaper option.
ETA: I also gave my mom a bracelet from Etsy that was customized to reflect the number of treatments she received with a bead in between for each week between treatments. It had an angel charm on it that you would move after each week/treatment so she could count down how far along she was. I used smoky quartz for its purported healing qualities. For your coworker, you could add a "F*ck cancer" charm to add that special flare. Here's a pic of something similar:
