It is no longer a laundry room as we moved the laundry upstairs. Where the laundry was is now a urinal. My question is what to do with the sink. It is getting reglazed this week. Do I just hang it on the wall again (the pedestals weren't actually supporting it-I'm not sure how it didn't fall off the wall). How can I dress up underneath it? Do they make stock cabinets that it go on or am I looking at something custom? Part of me thinks an old kitchen metal cabinet would be interesting but I can't seem to find those easily.

What size is it? I think at worst it might be worth it to have a cabinetmaker come and build something, or find something at IKEA you could put under it.

I need to measure it exactly. it is about 5' long.

We took the top off of an old oak sidebar/credenza/buffet and dropped a cast iron sink into it. The unit was long enough to accommodate our 6-ft sink, but not deep enough, nor strong enough to house it. It needed substantial customization and reinforcement. We used the top to add the extra depth needed. We had to rent an engine hoist to lift the sink and hold it in position while we set it into the furniture. It was a big job that required lots of careful prep and planning, but it turned out great.
