Week of 7/24

Today I have a dr appointment- my referral for my allergy shots expired and I can't get my shots until I have a new referral. This is a pain in the butt.
Wed is my baby group.
Thursday is a work meeting with a new coworker.
Friday I have no plans, maybe book club?
Saturday is a bday party for a 1 year old and 5 year old.


Question- yesterday A had her 4 month shots. Today her legs have a raised red spot at each injection site. I know this is a common reaction. We were planning on going swimming today in a chlorinated pool- would you take your child with the 2 raised red bumps? I don't want to take her if it might make her uncomfortable or if it could make things worse.

I miss Honda!!! I've been driving a Chevy the past 1.5 years and it's not the same.

Consumer reports had it listed #4 of its kind in a loooong list. So they like it too!!! It's been a little bit of a wild goose chase trying to find one with AWD at these dealerships, but I have faith we will get there this week.

We spent the day with my dad! We went for a walk, to the harbor to let C run around and more walking, and then took the boys to their community park! I am almost at 20k steps today! The day was great minus L having major separation anxiety and crying an hour at nap before I finally gave up and got him to sleep on me (he passed out as soon as I picked him up). Bedtime has been rough so far too and I fear how much sleep I will get tonight.

Good news...the windows are in and they just have the sliders and French doors for tomorrow!! DH sent me some pictures and they look great! Excited to see them and to be home tomorrow!

I came into work today with a positive attitude and in good mood. I'm working with a very inexperienced person. I'm hoping to have some learning experiences for her today.

I'm feeling much better, thanks! It was short-lived, thank goodness. I was finally able to keep down phenergan at like 10p on Monday. My fever broke yesterday morning and I was feeling better by yesterday afternoon. I'm at work today, getting my ACLS renewed, yay.

I somehow managed to lose an entire new can of dry shampoo. Had it a few days ago, can't find it anywhere. I'm annoyed at myself.

grover- I hope you went, I would have taken DD, unless she seemed bothered by her legs. (But my DD seems to not be bothered by things like this)

suzv- when do you have to be out of your rental?

wineandcheese- I hope your partner is a good sport and your day goes well. (I know working with a newbie can go either way.)

HoneySpider- I hope you find it! I lost the bottle of hydrosense that I needed for DD. So I had to buy another one yesterday.

DDs doctors appointment went well yesterday. He says her lungs are clear, and the coughing is most likely from her congested sinuses. (The gross goop sliding down her throat and her coughing it out.)

We had our first showing yesterday, within 24 hrs of the listing going live, but no offer from it. Our realtor thinks we listed the place too high. Things here are selling within 48hrs of listing, so we maybe a little high but we will see in the next week or so. We are willing to come down some but not to the price he thinks we should. (He thinks we should come down to $490k, but houses that are similar to ours are selling for $515-525k. So why would we go down to his price. (Listed at $529k)

I have this mystery bite on my scalp line. I had DH take a picture of it. It looks gnarley. Of course In panicking since the left side of my neck is sore too. I should go to urgent care right?! I just don't want DS to be around a bunch if germs.

Just ordered all the marketing materials (stickers, business cards, labels, etc) for my business to open Aug 1st! Getting excited.


awick14 Good luck! It may just not have been the right details for the people, not a price issue. I'd give it a few weeks to determine whether it's fair. We saw a lot of house priced just fine, but didn't offer for a myriad of reasons. Hope it happens soon for you!

We ended up doing just that. They said there were no bite marks and they aren't sure what it is...but we will watch it.

S got what we thought was a bug bite the first week of her life. Turned out to be a MRSA (I think?) infected boil! Definitely keep an eye on it if it grows or starts to hurt/change. It started off so innocent looking.

We are home and mostly unpacked! The windows look AMAZING!! So happy (minus a mistake on the hardware for the French door that we are trying to work out with them...it's their mistake but they want to charge us $150...um, no!)

Super busy couple days and not a lot of sleep but totally worth it! I am taking a couple minutes to rest...I somehow managed to get over 17k steps today and we didn't do all that much "walking".

I'm trying to keep up with everything around here but it's been tough with no phone signal in a lot of places, lol. We're in Lincoln NE right now and head home tomorrow! It's been fun but I'm ready to be home. Mostly because toddlers and hotel rooms don't mix very well!

Today is my Friday! I need to stay late tonight for 2 hours. Not happy about that but it is extra money.

I had a headache last night and went to bed early. Then I had a nightmare that made it hard to fall back to sleep, I kept thinking about it.

Today is my Friday, and my hotel night is tomorrow!!

My day looks like:
-Arrive at hotel at 1:30
-Flop on the bed and watch mindless TV for 30 blissful minutes.
-Walk over to outdoor mall and go on a mini shopping spree (mostly window shopping, but I have a $200 Visa gift card to spend from a spot bonus from my boss)
-Early dinner (either steak or appetizers depending on my mood)
-Back to hotel and in bed by 7. Read a good book.
-Turn off lights at 9 pm and sleep for 11 hours.

Are you guys open to doing another fresh IVF (emotionally, physically, financially)? Praying for you guys as you process all of this and go through such a tough time and decision. I hate all of this for you.

I just wanted this second baby to be easier. Now we have to start all over again.

Emotionally, I'm ready to jump right into another fresh cycle. But financially, we aren't in as good shape as we were 3 years ago. We do have about $8K in insurance coverage left, I think. But DH wants to do more IUIs rather than a partially covered IVF cycle. I could see our RE gently trying to steer him towards the IVF, by explaining the kind of results she would need to see from semen analysis to move forward with IUI. So he's getting testing redone, including anti-sperm antibodies, to see if IUI will even be possible. And will get a referral to a urologist.

I think he needs to do everything possible before going through that process again. But all the BFNs from the IUIs are emotionally wracking on me, and if we do those, I'm going to have to set a limit.

I'm glad to see that he is as broken up as me. I've been wondering about his commitment to having a second child. Now I know that yes, he definitely wanted another.
