I thought teenage boys were supposed to make your grocery bill insane? My 5 year olds are doing that now! Ha.
Jack has been eating adult sized meals for awhile now. I think a growth spurt? He's also on steroids (thanks preemie lungs!) right now which isn't helping. Henry eat a bunch too. Here's an example of yesterday:
Breakfast at 7:30:
A Siggies yogurt tub A banana with sunbutter A waffle
Snack at 10 when Jack said he was hungry:
Goldfish and kiwi
Lunch:
A turkey and cheese sandwich An apple Carrot sticks 3 stuffed grape leaves edamame
Snack:
Granola bar and berries
Dinner:
Bowl of rice, beans, avocado, cheese, tomatoes Banana with sunbutter
I make sure there is enough protein at every meal, but he still seems hungry.

My five year old hardly eats anything lately. He goes through spurts though. He might eat a lot for 2-3 days, then back to not much. He also eats a lot when it is something he likes. He will eat 3 plates of spaghetti but nothing from a plate of chicken and veggies.
Yes, B's been always been a big eater. Meals were included at daycare and prek, and the teachers always told me that they had to cut him off after 3 servings. I'm actually afraid he's going to be hungry next year at school.
B seems to go in streaks. He'll go a week hardly eating anything, and then eat everything for like 2-3 days, and then back to eating nothing. It makes me hate dinner time as I feel like I'm forcing it down his throats all the time, and we have to play 'games' to encourage him to eat. He weighs 50lbs, so it's not like he's super skinny, but I don't know how he exists on so few calories some days
A eats pretty average I think, not a ton but pretty good most days. I mean she'd eat endless cake and ice cream lol but not a large amount of normal food.
H out eats her about half the time, I assume during growth spurts and he always seems to be growing. That kid has been able to down adult size portions since he turned a year.

This is exactly A! Oh thank goodness-- I was really afraid he was the only one. Will eats more than Alex some nights, and he's only 9 months old. I brought up his eating pattern at our OT conference and she's sending over some suggestions to broaden his list of acceptable food and maybe help his eating become a little more consistent.
they appear to eat constantly. I actually find it exhausting when I'm home with them. I hate dealing with their constant demands for food and drinks
William eats more lightly than matilda for sure though, she is eating a ton these days. Like if I make them grilled cheese for dinner she wants two sandwiches and then she'll still have snacks after too. When we have steak she'll eat an entire steak lately. IT's definitely increased our grocery bill because I used to just buy two steaks and give them a little of mine but now I really have to buy three steaks for dinner. Soon it will be four steaks once William starts eating as much as matilda!

W eats a fair amount most of the time, but I've noticed it more this summer. Kids meals at restaurants are often not enough so I've started just ordering off the regular menu for him and taking home any leftovers.
B doesn't eat that much. He normally doesn't finish his breakfast which is a waffle or pancake with a banana or other fruit. Sometimes he doesn't even ask for breakfast. Lunchtime is usually better, some kind of sandwich, veggie, fruit, crackers. He eats nothing at dinner. It takes him an hour to eat 5 bites of whatever protein we're having and one bite of vegetables. He only gets snacks when he's eaten his meals or at least some of them. He's small. I think he was 34 pounds at his 5 year check up.
