1) Pearl Jam Vs. but I also remember a lot of Janet being played the year I got my CD Player.
2) Clerks, and later Belly with Nas and DMX.
3) I give to panhandlers and people with signs on corners a lot. I give to church. We donate goods to the drives that my work holds and our kids daycares collect for.
1. C+C Music Factory. I still remember all the dances we made up to it.
3 years ago my cousin got married at his parents house, it was the BEST wedding. I'm typically a wallflower when it comes to wedding dancing. "Everybody Dance Now" came on and I BUSTED out an old cheerleading routine from middle school and I knew every move, center stage and everyone gathered around and cheered. Every single cousin was dying laughing.
I wasn't even a cheerleader, ever. My cousins had always just taught me the routine. We were all cackling, it was so much fun!

1. Probably Madonna, no idea which album. I do remember buying the Foo Fighters cassette when I was in HS to go in the tape deck in my car, but the damn thing turned out to be a Bonnie Raitt album. Not my cup of tea...
2. Hmm, maybe Trainspotting. My friends and I were very into British pop culture in HS.
3. Local YMCA, local symphony and my Alma mater. I intended to donate my time to a local summer lunch program, but my little guy got sick the day I was scheduled to go and DH was traveling.

k3am I loved making up dances when I was younger. I remember making up a lot of routines to the c+c music factory one summer at the beach with my cousins.

1. What was the first CD you ever owned? Green Day dookie. I don't think my parents had any idea what they were buying. They were not the kind of parents to allow that kind of music.
2. What was your favorite movie when you were in high school?
10 Things I hate about you. My sister and I could replay that movie line by line from memory.
3. What was the last cause you donated to? One of my employees' child's ROTC fundraiser

1. It might have been a Stone Temple Pilots CD, or maybe Pearl Jam. That was only because I already had all of my favorite bands & albums on cassette. The first CD I ever played in the first CD player I ever owned, though, was my sister's Roxette/Look Sharp CD.

1. For the life of me, I can't remember my first CD. I do remember when it was a new technology and players were crazy expensive. My brother somehow got one and he got the soundtracks for Phantom of the Opera and Les Miz. And that was all we had for a while.
Probably dating myself a little but I do remember the first LPs I bought at a garage sale. If Not for you by Olivia Newton-John and This is a Recording by Lily Tomlinson. Both of these were slightly before my time but I guess I was already an old soul.
2. His Girl Friday ... I mostly watched old movies on cable because my parents were pretty strict and I didn't get out much. I loved Rosalind Russell's character in this movie. She held her own against all the boys.

So, Green Day's Dookie was my first experience with "hidden" tracks. Can you even imagine my 6th or 7th grade giggles when I pieced together what "All by Myself" was about?
