We went school supply shopping this morning and I'm definitely buying the pre-made pack from the school next year. Our list is very brand and size specific, and while I understand the reasoning, I CANNOT find 0.54oz glue sticks. Anywhere. Hopefully, I'll either find them or the slightly larger size will do.
I think I may try and take G bowling this afternoon. He's not the most coordinated kid so it could be interesting. 😂

We went clothes shopping this morning. We hit carters, old navy and kohls and got some pretty good sales on tshirts, but i didn't find any shorts! I need to find a bunch of boy shorts. I'm pooped from the shopping though and C is napping.

We have my nephew's birthday party this afternoon. It's a pool party and at 39 weeks pregnant I am not looking forward to being outside in the Florida heat! Tomorrow my mom comes into town and tomorrow night I check into the hospital to be induced...eek. so tomorrow we will do last minute chores to get the house clean.
A spent the night at my parents last night so we had a lazy morning and ran a few errands.
Now I'm sewing while the kids nap, and my husband is at BILs house for some soccer party? idk they just invited him because he's the only person who can grill food lol
I found the first day of school boards at my Target this year! I looked for them multiple times last year and never found one.
Re: brand specific school supplies....why do they have to be brand specific? I got W's list and it has Clorox wipes, a specific brand of white pillowcase, Crayola everything....

I wish ours would have been a little more specific. Especially with markers, it didn't specify washable so I'm pretty sure A is going to come home with markers on her clothes that I can't get out. I did get washable though, so I hope others do too!

Nice! And lol @ him being the griller.
I looked for those at my Target yesterday and nada. Dang.
So I might have looked 3 times this past week lol...and today was the first time they were out. So keep checking!
Our photographer has been helping to host a club footed girl from Africa who is getting her feet fixed. This girl is amazing. Both her legs are in complete casts and she's jumping on a trampoline, climbing swig sets, whatever my photographers daughters are doing. She is so determined.
Photographer had a special minis in which she donated all the proceeds to the organization that facilitates this. So I had to get a spot because I love her work, it's for a great cause, and was for a reduced time/price. My kids were amazing. They had great smiles, cooperated, and were overall just great. I'm so excited about these pictures and can't believe it. Even photographer said 'man, they've came a long way' lol. I have no idea who these kids were. I always feel like pictures are just mass chaos. Blake even prayed for photographer tonight lol!!

Yes, I agree! Some items I get like crayons bc the generic ones break easy and generic glue sticks can be iffy. But scissors, construction paper I don't think it matters. I'm a teacher and I never put specific brands on my list but I also taught years at schools where I was happy if kids brought the basics. I did not buy the brand construction paper listed bc the store brand was cheaper and looked just as good. I did buy extra supplies too so I figure it's ok.
Bowling with G last night was interesting. He's a little black and blue this morning, but he had a blast. Let's just say his enthusiasm outweighs his coordination.

My kids teachers say it's because it makes t less confusing for the kids. Especially the crayons products. For example, they say choose the green crayon. And crayola's is green but Rose art is "leafy green" and Walmart is "spring green" etc. They want them to be able to see the word color and associate it all the same. That's just an example and only what I've heard.
