H went back to work today . So far so good with E, a bit of a rough morning because she napped in the car on the way home from speech then of course woke up and started cranking once we were in the house. I really needed to make some calls to her doctors because I have less frozen breast milk than I thought (a lot of it is from right after she was born and I'm not comfortable giving that to her) so we need to figure out what formula to give her. Hopefully that is settled soon because its making me a bit anxious not to have a plan.
I think I might be getting sick. I woke up yesterday, had my coffee and oatmeal and promptly projectile vomited everywhere. I figured it was pregnancy related and was fine the rest of the day. I woke up this morning at 4am coughing like crazy so I had a cup of tea which I promptly projectile vomited. It wasn't good. I was up until 6 then fell back asleep until 9 which is crazy for me. Even worse, after lunch DH and I got back in bed and slept another 3 hours so I don't think either of us are feeling well.
On top of that, little man has been moving all day long. He usually is pretty active in the morning, then after dinner until bedtime. During the day he often stretches but isn't moving a ton. He has moved pretty much all day today so I'm not sure what's going on but it's been uncomfortable.
I finally felt the baby move today. I feel like it took forever! I have a fetal echo appointment tomorrow. Anyone else get this done? My OB requires it for all IVF patients.

kristind3, I did...also because an IVF requirement. My experience was very nerve-racking so I hope this doesn't scare you. But, in case you have a similar experience I want to reassure you because our outcome was positive. During the fetal echo the doctor saw that one of his heart valves wasn't closing properly so she asked to see us again 8 weeks later in the pregnancy. At that point, they saw that it was operating correctly, but recommended another check a few days after he was born. At that appointment the doctor was very surprised we had been referred to him. He said that that flap was still (normally) developing and that even if it is still opening/closing a little atypically, a high percentage of people walking around have a similar valve and it has ZERO impact on their life and they will never even know about it. Basically, my summary was: if you look so closely at a growing baby's heart, you'll see some stuff that you may never have otherwise learned about. Because it has no affect on anything.

kristind3, I also had the fetal echo done. They just did a really detailed look at her heart, and I think the blood vessels to/from the placenta. It was actually a little boring compared to the anatomy scan!
kristind3, I was around 22 or 23 weeks when I finally felt the baby and knew it was him. I also got an echo. I go to a teaching hospital so my experience was that the woman doing it couldn't locate 2 or 3 of the things they needed which made me nervous. Thankfully an experienced tech took over after about 20 minutes and easily found everything else. She said while the cardiologist had to officially read the scans everything looked good. I agree with the above that it was pretty boring compared to the a/s and the u/s.

I didn't have a fetal echo, either. Actually, the only time my OB even mentioned "risk" due to IVF was when we were setting my induction date and he said IVF is one of the risk factors they consider in not allowing patients to go too long past their due date. Otherwise, I was low risk throughout.

loira , fun! We've talked about camping with H, but haven't braved it yet. I'm interested to hear how A does. What is she going to sleep in, a PNP?
Not loira of course, but we usually go camping twice a year, my son first went at about 7 or 8 months. It's been great. We had him sleep in a pack n play in the tent. We always bring the monitor so we can sit around the fire after he goes to bed. I probably could hear him anyway, but it makes me feel better, especially since we usually go with friends who can be noisy.
We're going with DD in october and then again in december. It's nice to have a change of scenery and spend the weekend outdoors I think.
King26 , I got a really bad case of food poisoning when I was 8 months pregnant. It was...not good. How are you guys doing today?

I wasn't going to bring a PNP, as I didn't think it would fit in our tent, but mpc's post got me thinking we might try it. It's a 4 person tent, and a decent size, but I can't imagine it will leave much room for H and me that way. Might try a test run this morning - our tent is out in the backyard right now, because I had to do some repair on it. We took A inside the tent this morning, just to show it to her and explain that we're all going to sleep there when we go camping. She seemed thrilled and kept saying "Papa, Mama, tent, sleep!"
I shall report back forthwith on whether the PNP fits.

oh we have a 2 room tent now, so we had plenty of room. Our tent from life pre-kids was a 2-3 person dome tent that was really only big enough for our blow up mattress and nothing else. I hope you can get yours to fit! Our friends brought an inflatable bed like this smile.amazon.com/Kids-Travel-Inflatable-Bed-Set/dp/B0085YGTGW. Not sure that would be a smaller footprint though. Now that DS is out of the crib we use a cot like this smile.amazon.com/Regalo-Cot-Deluxe-Sleeping-Navy/dp/B009FRKXKG/ but of course that doesn't do anything to contain them, if you still need that.

If it doesn't fit, we'll just have her sleep on an air mattress like we do. I'm not so worried about containment (she hasn't figured out zippers yet), but it would be nice for her to have a bed similar to her crib...
cactuscookie, I'm feeling better today. My stomach still isn't great but I kept my breakfast down and I'm not as tired. Hopefully it was just a bug.
I finally got my newborn pictures scheduled. I had no clue you are supposed to book them so early. I talked to a lot of people before I found someone I liked, who is nearby, and who had an opening.
cactuscookie, mpc, the PNP does indeed fit in the tent on one side, with room for H in the middle and me on the other side. I think it helps that the tent has a decently high dome, and also H and I are relatively small people so I don't think it will be too cramped. Glad I did a test run!

A is so smart! Hazel's vocabulary is expanding like crazy, but she still isn't putting words together.
That's great that the PNP fit, I bet that'll make A feel more comfortable. She's going to love running around outside, how fun!
kristind3, I had a fetal echo done. We were IUI, had the harmony test come back good at 11.5 weeks, but someone checked the wrong box at the lab and did another chromosome test at 17 weeks that came back high risk for downs. The fetal replaced our A/S since it was just a more detailed ultrasound. She did look in depth at the heart, and all was fine included looking for other markers of downs, but they couldn't see her feet because she was sitting with her legs crossed. We had to go back approx a month later to verify that her feet existed.
cherryvalance, GL tonight! I hope your induction goes as well as mine did!
Baby was very uncooperative today so I'll go back again in 3 weeks for the fetal echo. It was curled up in a ball playing with it's feet. 2 ultrasound techs and the doctor could not get baby to move into a good position.
My son has had a cough the past 2 weeks and this morning thanks to a combination of wrong place wrong time he coughed a big wet one directly into my open mouth. So I'm pretty much sick now, right. better go stock up on cough drops and tissues.
