William just swallowed a penny !!!

Has this happened to anyone else ?! Of course I'm trying to call my husband and he's not answering. I called the pedi on call line and waiting for a call back

I saw him holding a penny and he went to lick it and I said no, not in your mouth. Then I look and he's gagging on it. Then its gone 😢

Oh no! I'm sure it will pass but hopefully the pedi will call you back soon. My MIL loves to tell the story of when my H swallowed all his pennies when he was little. I think it was at least 5 pennies. Why do kids do these things?

Thanks guys, she called back and said to give him some bread and water and if he swallowed it fine and isn't coughing or drooling it's probably in his stomach.

I really wish it didn't happen right at bed time! I'm paranoid now to put him to bed but I think he'll just sleep with us tonight to be safe.

She said if there is any coughing or vomiting or he complains of pain bring him in

Now we have a few days of digging through his poop for the penny ..

X-ray showed penny is in the stomach! Good news. He did not lie down easily for the x ray .. he was freaking out! Anyway hopefully it comes out in the poop soon and hopefully not in a diaper I have to dig through lol
