Andrew was excited and relatively unphased. He asked if he could sign up to play golf in the after school program, and was disappointed that astronomy wasn't one of their daily classes. I'll be excited for an update when he gets home!

Abby starts next week (my 5th grader!!) and Caleb doesn't start until the following week. He's excited. She is less than.

Just dropped off A. I almost cried and I'm not a crier. She looked so scared standing in line heading into her classroom. She's super nervous about getting lost or not knowing where to go.

No, 55 more minutes!  It's been a long day.  H has been the sweetest he's been in months though, I think he's soaking up the only child thing.  He actually clapped when we came back home after dropping her off lol

Got her! She went the wrong way at pick up and was out back all alone, so she was super scared when I got her. After a few minutes though she told me her teacher is the nicest teacher ever, and she made a friend. So seems she had a good day!

DD had her first full day today! She's a little nervous about starting homework next week, but says her teacher is nice! We had some rough days last year towards the end of pre k and I'm hoping some of the anxieties she had about school are better this year.

First day today, she said she was excited but a little nervous. I'm waiting in a long car line to pick her up plus it's raining. Bonus pic of Pearl, she's 2 weeks today, seems like just yesterday this was Ruby.

Just got kel teacher assignment today! We got who I wanted for him

Yeah! He is pumped

His pre didn't do nap but the sheet said to brig a beach towel for rest time

This is so weird to me
Why are 5 year olds napping?
Also said please no school lunch the first month - what about low income families?
No supplies needed
Nut free in class but not lunch room - we have been total nut free and facility nut free for 2 years this is going to be a treat for him - we can actually pack hummus again and he will be so excited! And use 7 grain bread again!

We just got home from vaca today so I oanjced thinking we don't have a cool monogrammed towel that isn't very worn. But luckily I found one

Napping at K is weird - esp on a towel. Our preschool had cots. Although my 5 yr old took a 3 hr nap today lol. He doesn't nap every day, but does need some downtime.

A's class has rest time right after lunch, they have to read/look at books quietly for 20 minutes. I guess last week a bunch of kids were falling asleep in the middle of the room. A hasn't napped in 3 years but oh my last week was painful she was soooo tired.

Yesterday was A's first full day. She had a great time and passed out when she got to our school from the bus. Unfortunately, she needed up throwing up with a 103 temp by the end of the night. So, we're home today.

vthokie poor A, we are also dealing with our first school sickness of the year, just a cold thankfully but damn it's only week 2! I hope she's feeling much better today and no one gets it.
