Anyone have a good recommendation for good twirling dresses? DD only has (gasp) *one*dress that meets the level of twirly-ness she desires... which means she either wears the same dress daily or has a freak out because it's in the laundry.
My 12th anniversary is this weekend. Traditionally, that is silk. What shall I get for my husband? It doesn't have to be silk-related, but I was even thinking a French-silk pie from the local pie shop. He is a cyclist, likes beer and the outdoors.

I see Primary ads on FB all the time and think they have a twirly dress or skirt. I have no experience with this though as a boy mom.

Twirly dresses - I have had luck recently at Hannah Anderson and Old Navy.
Silk anniversary - no idea, but if he's a cyclist, does he have a good gel seat? That's my next gift for DH - his popped on the bike rack and now it oozes all over his shorts when he rides.

Try Garnet Hill. Pricey but they have options on clearance. Good twirls.
Any recommendations on a good lunch containers? We've been using the Easy Lunchboxes plastic containers on Amazon. But, they're only 2 years old and have been beaten up and the lids no longer fit quite right. I haven't been overly impressed with the durability for the price. The plastic cracks if the girls bang them around at all. I like the idea of a sectioned container like that, since we tend to pack lunches for the entire week on Sundays and those make it easy to organize. What do you pack lunches in?

I just bought this and it seems good but idk about durability. The ratings are mediocre.
Twirly dresses I was recently added to a Facebook group for DotDotSmile by a friend but all they have are twirly dresses. It seems to be the dress version of LuLaRue. Direct sales and sales consultants only get so many patterns.
twinmomma, I have a set of these www.amazon.com/Snapware-Airtight-Plastic-Storage-Container/dp/B003TYJUA0 DD loves them and so did the aides as she could open them herself plus she can close them so what she doesn't eat doesn't then spill. We use the smaller ones mainly but she does use the big ones if I'm sending just leftovers.
Lunch-if the girls have the option of using a microwave use it. We do leftovers a lot once I learned DD had a microwave option. Otherwise...fruit, cheese sticks, tri colored pasta salad with veggies, wraps, hummus, pirate booty, applesauce pouches, crackers/pretzels. I learned pretty quickly that any treats got eaten first and then none of the lunch got eaten so I stopped sending treats. Also DD gets only 15 minutes for lunch and then a 15 minute recess so you may have your girls start practicing eating quick. We had to make arrangements with the school to let DD eat through lunch recess as she was melting down over hunger issues all afternoon. By the end of the school year her body had adjusted to not eating much all day and pigging out at dinner time instead.
186momx, Getting them to eat faster is a good tip! We'll have to focus on that for the next few weeks before school starts. They're terrible at focusing and eating in a timely manner.
Can anyone recommend a good water bottle with straw? My kids love them, and I've been avoiding them because I feel like you can never get the straw or mouthpiece clean. We've had bad luck with them getting moldy, even when putting them through the sanitize cycle in the dishwasher on a regular basis and letting them air dry.
kimberlybb - I have a wet to straight from Target and it gets the job done - I love it for the girls when we start showering late - I just straighten their hair instead of drying it.
I do always wonder if a high end straightener would make my hair calmer (it's naturally curly so absorbs all humidity and frizzed a bit even when it's super dry here).

Bargain alert! 🚨 My local Sears has a Lands End department. I was in there today and saw "the dress" that many of us love on sale for $29. They also had swimwear marked 50% off.
I'm looking for recommendations for a hair straightner. Mine bit the dust this morning. I had a Chi but would prefer a different brand.
I have a GHD and have had it for almost 10 years. Still works like a dream and curls and straightens. I think new they are $180 but I've told DH that if mine craps out im buying a new one that same day.
erinshelley21 - it curls? Like, is it just a straightener but you can use it to curl or it's made to do both? I can't use normal straighteners to curl.

Looks like a regular straightener that I use it to curl.
Once I mastered curling with my straightener I have never gone back to a curling iron. It holds so much longer.

We told DS we were going to start setting a timer. Kid takes forever to eat.
