Online schools

Can some talk to me about online schools? From either a teacher or student perspective? I'm applying for a position, but I'm struggling to get a good perspective on the day or routine because I don't know anyone I can ask about this irl.

Most of my master's was online, with on day a month in-person. Do you have specific questions?

I'm thinking more along the lines of being the teacher or elementary student. I've taken online classes as an adult. I'm just trying to understand it as a child.
