long week.

Matilda told me last night that she wishes she never had a brother. I said, you mean you want us to give him away? and she said nooooo I don't want him to go away I just wish he never was here at all

he is definitely going through a super annoying phase where we are all tired of him to be honest but it broke my heart to hear her say this with tears streaming down her face.

well I was offered a promotion to teacher (original plan was to be an assistant for a year or two before being bumped up). Talked to everyone and everyone said to do it, so I'm going to make the jump. My summer's training should be enough to get me through until I complete it all next summer (and a lot of next summer is activities I already know how to do), especially since we are starting a new school and it is going to take a while to transition all the children to the Montessori way of doing things. Going to be an even crazier year now but another good thing! And especially helpful with our new mortgage!

L had to be dragged out of the car screaming and crying to go to kindergarten yesterday and today 😢 It breaks my heart, but at least he really likes his class and his teacher. He just wants me to walk him in every morning.

And I'm getting my hair cut and colored today. I'm so excited, it has been a long time.

My training is primary, which is 3, 4 and 5 year olds in a mixed age class (prek and kinder). 9 of each level and I'll have an assistant.

I'm sorry laurack. That is tough. I can't imagine how heart breaking that was to hear. I'm pretty sure my one sister wished I wasn't around when I was younger (I'm the youngest of twin sisters). We're good friends now. Just keep telling yourself that you guys will power through this phase. Hugs.

B has his last day of safety town camp today. They set up this little town at the rec center and focus on basic safety for 4-6 year olds. Crossing the street, stranger, how to dial 911, gun safety, animal safety, railroads, fire safety, water safety, poison safety, and school bus safety. They also worked on learning their address and home phone number.

We're headed to the lake this weekend, and my H is going to a bachelor party Saturday. I might take the boys to a water park while he's gone.

I can't believe how much he loves it and how much he's learning. Plus the little town is cool, so I think that helps.

H is taking G and C to an outdoor movie tonight, sweet sweet alone time! Woo!

My husband and I both got so "used to" being so stressed out from the move and me being gone this summer that we've had a hard time sleeping past 5. We both slept until 6:30 this morning and I feel so much better today than I have in a while! I'm good with 6:30, it's about when I need to be up when work starts in 2 weeks.

A starts school in 1 week! I still need to get a few school supplies but other than that I think we are ready.

I was looking at the lunch menu and yeah, I think it's more unhealthy than when I ate! Sure they add a fruit and veggie to every meal but when the main meals are pizza w/cookie, corn dogs w/fries, pizza sticks w/chocolate pudding, pancakes, etc she's never going to eat the fruit or veggies! I mean I feed her all those foods but I was hoping for them to feed them some magic healthy foods so she'd start eating more variety lol

I want to buy a dress from Boden for a weeding in a few weeks. Except all their models are like size 2, and I'm NOT a size 2 so I don't know how they will look on me. I went to the mall Sunday and found nothing I liked so idk where else to look

I have a mountain of items on my to do list this weekend. To the point I feel like I'm flailing about because I'm overwhelmed and not sure what to tackle first.

I think I finally convinced my husband to fly to CA next year instead of driving! 2 hr flight vs 16 hour driving. He thought driving would be fun...yeah sure lol
