I've been using Klorane for brunettes and freaking love the crap out of it but it's expensive. I go through a lot of it.
I have tried Batiste, Not Your Mother's, Luseta, Living Proof, Tresemme and a few others that I can't think of right now.
I really liked Living Proof but it too is expensive and I had to go to the store to get it. Luseta was okay. I did not like Not Your Mothers or the Batiste.
Lot's of bonus points if I can order it on Amazon!
Update (because sometimes dry shampoo is important stuff): mfluder, was right on with the recommendation for the blowpro Faux dry shampoo! I ordered it from Zulily and have been using it for a few weeks now. It's perfect. No weird residue and no scent! I put it in before bed and wake up to clean feeling hair. Thanks for the great recommendation!

I only have a mid-size sample but I like Drybar Triple Sec.
I was just in Paris...City Pharma had the 2-packs of Klorane for almost nothing, but I only got one. Now I am disappointed when I hear you like them so much!
ETA: I was deliriously sleepless when I posted this...I forgot to post the rest. I like the Triple Sec and recently found out it costs a fricking fortune. Ulta had a bunch of different kinds on clearance yesterday when I went in and it might be worth a look...I got a huge bottle of BlowPro dry shampoo for $5 (marked down from $20).
My favorite cheap brand is Psssst and my favorite salon brand is Amika. The Amika is more expensive than the klorane so that's probably not very helpful.

Actually I was just looking at the Amika one. It's a few dollars more but, you get more ounces. It comes out a bit cheaper per ounce than the Klorane. I might give that one a whirl this month.
Dove dry shampoo, specifically the volume and fullness one.
Agreed, I actually really like this one. I don't like any of the other Dove dry shampoos though.
My favorite is Matrix Style Link, but it's basically the same price as Klorane. I also like Klorane and was going to suggest getting it at Costco like lovelyshoes mentioned, that's the best price I've come across.
My answer to this is always Blow Dry Shampoo. It's available on amazon, its $20, and lasts FOREVER. i'm talking years. It's still my favorite.
Its not a spray, so its a incredibly full bottle, but you put directly to into your hair (not into your hand, which I hate for some reason).
No smell, very effective.
Could you link it, or be more specific with the name? For me, it comes up with a lot of BlowPro and other similar items, another brand called Blow Dry Secret but those are all in scents (and seem to be sprays). I am interested in this forever lasting stuff :-)

It should be $20 (I got it off amazon that way before but it always changes. And I have to order it so in frequently. I keep trying to sell this to people - I think it's a Super underrated/unknown dry shampoo IMO

Well I think you might have just sold me on it!
I have tried powder dry shampoo before because I heard it works better but I hated getting it into my hair. It went just about everywhere but my head! It was a mess. This looks way more promising!

I think I'm going to try out this Dove one. I've had a few friends say they like to too. That formula even!
I wish we had a Costco near us. Seems like everyone finds all the good stuff there. The nearest one is 100 miles away.

yay! I hope you end up liking it even just half of how I love it. Really.
Random: my coworker told me to put in the night before (with any dry shampoo). Put in and don't worry about getting rid of the white - you can be generous. Then when you get up it's absorbed and looks like new hair.

Do you think this would work with spray? Would it screw with my carefully crafted skincare routine by ruining my pillow? This is such a cool idea!

Costco sells it on their website with free shipping

I wholeheartedly agree with this method. I read about it a couple years ago and it has made all the difference in how effective dry shampoo is for my hair, regardless of brand.

I'll come back to this and let you know if I like it and I'll have to try your putting it in the night before trick too! Thanks!

I've totally done it with a spray, definitely works.
I sleep on a silk pillow and it doesn't impact it at all. In fact, I like to pretend it keeps the oil from the pillow helping my skin - but that's totally made up! It hasn't impacted my skin care though, for reals. It seems to just disappear into my hair - I don't see it on my pillowcase or bed.

Same here. I spray the tresemme one into my roots and in sections before bed and wake up with normal looking hair, no white powder. It's awesome.

Absolutely spray it before going to bed. You'll wake up with clean looking hair and no white residue. My hair looks way better if I spray it in the evening then if I do it in the morning. It's so much less oily the night before and the dry shampoo soaks up the oils so much better.

I have the BlowPro Faux dry shampoo, and it's most definitely a spray and not a powder. Do they make different ones or something?

They do...I just bought the giant spray but this is a very small bottle and is definitely a powder (I watched some youtube tutorials on it).
I've tried a few different dry shampoos, and always come back to plain old baby powder. I put it in at night, and by morning, it's soaked up the oils in my hair and has blended in so my hair doesn't look gray. I have medium brown roots.
I prefer sprays for ease of application, but the baby powder is what actually works best for me and prolongs my style.

I didn't know they made a spray! It's definitely a powder. Short container. It has this little "puff" feauture to get it out, but it's all powder, which is why it lasts so long. So much product.
