Hooray It's The Weekend!

Finally! What are you lovely ladies up to?

I took the boys to the lake yesterday and we are planning to go as a family this afternoon! C loves it and it's growing on L! So much fun!

This morning is usual...take C to the park while DH stays home during L's nap. Then DH has to mow the grass so I will take the boys for a walk or back to the park. I need to grill some chicken for salads and get us packed for the lake before PM nap.

Tomorrow morning is the same as above (minus yard work). My dad and step mom are coming over to visit and see the new windows. They have to leave by a set time so we will go to Starbucks for BOGO and then take the boys to the park before dinner bath and bedtime.

Might try to grocery shop and watch a movie too! Fun weekend!

H is leaving for work soon so this morning I'm going through my dresses to find one for our fire house's banquet dinner in a few weeks. This afternoon I'm working with H shooting a fireworks show for a wedding. It's a surprise for the bride from her dad. It's a fun crew shooting so I'm looking forward to working.

All I know for Sunday is we are going out for pancakes in the morning. H likes his Sunday Wineday so we will probably go to the winery.

I'm trying to get rid of this cold and deal with a sick toddler too (he had a fever yesterday and puked in his bed last night... Ugh). At least H called in to job 2 after being up half the night. I can't wait to take a nap later!

DS woke last night at 130 with one of his worst cases of croup ever. Luckily we had medicine on hand and avoided the ER.

Cancelled our plans for today since DS still isn't feeling too well. We are currently watching the secret life of pets.

Church tomorrow. Grocery shopping at some point. H is on a low carb diet so we need to get more cauliflower rice, mash, evergthing.

We're getting ready to head over to the park to take a walk. Tomorrow we have church and I'm going to dye my hair. I bought this pink dye and haven't gotten around to it, need to just do it. I'm not bleaching my hair first though because I don't want to do that damage to my hair so I'm not sure how well it's actually going to come out. But I don't necessarily need it to be bright pink, just a little bit of color would be ok. We'll see.

Otherwise, just a bunch of catching up on cleaning, laundry, work, etc. plus some general chill time.

We have no plans except a family birthday party at a sports bar tonight. I'm excited for that.

If the rain holds off tomorrow, I'd like to go to the zoo. We also are planning our Disney trip! We booked a Halloween trip. I can't wait!

We made it to the island and they upgraded our rental to a convertible mustang for free! Vacation is now a whole lot better We also resolved some lingering family tension we've been avoiding for months so that has put me in an excellent, peaceful mood. Never thought I'd say that about a trip with my in-laws! <3 today (at least, for now) is a good day.

HoneySpider can't wait to see it. I love pink hair.

estrellita melsamoony- hope you (estrellita) and the kiddos all feel better! L was up all night too (I have been up since 4:30 after a 2a feed) so I am looking forward to nap time today!

We can't decide if the lake is going to be worth our time and energy. It's great during the week but can be really crowded on the weekends, especially Sat since there is a concert at night. I have DH the choice between lake vs Starbucks and regional park.

The in laws are moving to our city this weekend. For some reason, the movers can't unload that truck until tomorrow, so they're staying with us this weekend. Fine by me; they are helping with E.

HoneySpider, I've always wanted to dye my hair a fun color, but I too have no interest in bleaching first.


Today we just alternated cleaning with lounging. I took a nap and it was wonderful.

Tomorrow my parents and sister/BF are coming for lunch (we have to go grocery shopping in the morning) and so they can transport my parents old grill (they gifted to us two years ago when we all moved), which we are passing on to sister. Then at night two couples from my mom/baby group invited us out on a triple date night (complete with all three babies tagging along) followed by wine tasting. Thinking we may have to skip on the wine because A will probably be fussy then and I need to get everything prepped for my first day at work the next day.

My bro and SIL brought us lunch and saw the kids today. They had gifts for the kids as well. It was really nice!!!

DH and I have been bickering some though ugh. Tonight, I am just doing a little kitchen clean up.

Tomorrow DH will grocery shop and I will cook some.

In-laws told us TODAY that they are coming down on MONDAY. Ugh. FIL originally said he would never come down to see us ever again. But I think now that he has a male heir to carry on his last name (insert eye roll) he has had a change of heart. I'm dreading it. They're not staying at our house though. Normally, I would insist someone come stay here...but not sure I want FIL under my roof after all the crap he caused last year.

On the flip side, our cleaners come on Monday. Yay!!!!

Some dyes work great even on dark hair without bleaching. When I dyed mine purple last year it took well and ended up pretty vibrant. It still washed out completely after a month or so. Excited to see how it turns out.

krystee yay! Disney! We are going in Feb. We can start dining reservations in 2 days so SIL is "patiently" waiting lol.

Thanks everyone, we are both feeling much better today. No fevers and my nose isn't dripping every few minutes so that's good, haha. H went to ILs with E so I'm relaxing a bit before I switch the load of laundry H put in before he left and probably do some organizing and/or cleaning. I wish I could be one of those people who actually keeps up on cleaning. How do people have the energy and motivation to clean so much?? Like my mom, she gets up at like 4 when my dad does and does laundry and cleans before she goes to work. Tempting because that's probably the only time I'd be the only person awake but.. I would MUCH rather sleep!

estrellita- I don't know how people do it either. I clean quite a bit but could definitely do a lot more. I am lucky that I SAH so I tend to do a little bit each day and try to have a "schedule" where I do certain things each day. It helps but I definitely don't keep up on everything. I also used to wake up at 4:50 with DH (when he was at his old job) but that was mainly to have my coffee in peace before the boys woke up. Now I wake up around 5:30 and L is usually awake by 6. Also, I am pretty useless once they are in bed (although lately I try to pick up the playroom and do the dishes if they haven't been done yet).

Glad you guys are feeling better and you are getting some alone time!

I go back to work tomorrow. A goes to daycare. I told myself I'd be fine....but it's totally hitting me hard right now. I know she will be fine, but I'm leaving my baby So grateful for the extended leave, but I still feel she's so little!
