I survived a 12 hour solo car trip with both kids. Now we're at the cabin in Maine for two weeks with my parents:)
Boston area ppl - I have to pick my H up from the Boston airport on Friday. Are there any good places to pass some time nearby the airport if I get there early?

What time? Traffic is killer so you might have to stay around.
Ugh H is sick. I didn't feel great yesterday but never threw up or anything, just a stomach ache and tired but figured I ate something that didn't agree with me. Well H is throwing up today. If A gets sick and misses her first day of school I will be sad.

his flight gets in at 10 pm. I was going to drive down earlier so I'm not driving there and back straight.

The city is so small so you will be close to lots of stuff. You can go to the north end area for yummy food but parking will be a pain. You can come hang here if you want! I live 15 minutes north of the city.
Not trying to start an argument with how much teachers spend on supplies, it's so much... But I'm collecting up all of the school supplies I have to take in for A. It's a good thing I'm taking him to school, there's no way he could carry all of this! We also have to re-stock in January. Not pictured: the $10 gift card we have to get for photo developing.

That a lot. We got back from meet and greet today. It was a cluster, but A is excited. We have to label everything. I mean...individual crayons. It's a good thing I'm a dorky teacher. I will be printing labels tonight.
We have quite the school supply list this year too! And x3 is going to be a chunk of change. Montessori also uses some random things (bag of lentils per kid for example).

That sounds difficult! Everything is communal at A's school except her scissors. I'm glad I don't have to label the like 80 crayons and markets I bought!

Violets list for the public school (we aren't sending her there but we got the list in the mail) is INSANE. I was so surprised!! And it also made me sad that the DOE doesn't supply all of these basic things.
For her private school I wrote a check and that covers it, haha
