I had a really good appointment with my therapist last week, and I'm hoping it will help me find my H&F motivation. I've been struggling to find 30 minutes to spend on myself each day, which she thinks is important (and I agree). I wake up earlier than I need to, but always end up starting work early instead of using that time, then work through lunch, and by the end of the day I'm too tired to want to do anything but veg until bedtime. So, w talked about the importance of putting myself first, and I'm going to try a literal translation of that concept. Now, the first 30 minutes of my day is going to be for me to do something that actively makes me happy. Yoga, archery, treadmill... whatever sounds best that day. I'll still make time for my other workouts, like going to the gym and whatnot, but I won't feel so defeated on the days that my other workouts don't happen because I will still have accomplished my 30 minutes of me time.
I did yoga this morning, and it felt AMAZING. I didn't even notice how stiff and sore I was when I woke up until I got to the end of my workout and realized how much more relaxed I was in my poses.
So, my plan for this week: Mon - Yoga (done) Tue - Yoga, archery Wed - Yoga, back/biceps Thu - Yoga, chest/triceps Fri - Yoga, legs/shoulders Sat - Yoga, archery Sun - Yoga
I did great last week! My average steps is at 12,600 right now! I ran once and did lots of walking after bedtime! And my nutrition wasn't horrible either! Planning to do the same again this week!

I think that's a good plan, katespade -- to focus on KS each morning and allow yourself some grace if it doesn't get done in the evenings. Sometimes I read your H&F goals for the week and they seem SO LOFTY. I worry you are setting yourself up for disappointment. I want you to kill it but also feel like a champ! Even this week seems like a bundle of fitness. I know the yoga is more of an active rest workout, but 7 days of some thing workout related is a lot. Your Type A is showing, sister!
My goals for this week are workouts M-Th (Monday is done). Friday I take off on my girl's trip! Woo! I'm going to do some research this week on posture exercises. I've had three people lately call out my bad posture. Whoops!
wanderingenough - My Type A definitely shows in my workout plans! lol. I like to plan something for every day, and then set a secondary goal to follow through with at least four of them. That way, I can give myself some room to make adjustments without feeling like I've failed. I also decided to put cardio on the back burner for now, because trying to keep up with that and weights has just been too overwhelming and it's been taking away from my ability to be successful at either one.
wanderingenough - Bad Yogi is my favorite, without a doubt. She has all sorts of options on her YouTube channel, and a lot of good beginner and stretch focused videos. Plus, most of her workouts are 15-ish minutes so they work really well if you're looking for something quick, or you can do more than one if you're looking for a longer workout.

Thanks @katspade. Short and sweet is what I'm looking for. I know I've said this before, but I want to start stretching to see if it helps with my headaches. Just some kind of 10-15 min routine. I've been trying to do stuff on the floor and in the shower because I KNOW my posture and tension can't be helping.

I had a bad week last week. I didn't workout like I planned then ate not that great. So far this week hasn't been going great either. I have had to go into work early twice so that killed my morning workout plans, then have gotten out late every shift so I'm pretty much eating dinner, having a 10 minute conversation with H then going to bed.
I'm going to look up meal planning ideas today. I'm hoping to prep everything Monday so it's easier to cook after work. I'm writing my grocery list today too. Last grocery trip I went without a list and bought random stuff.
AW- H has been motivating me more. He's doing great with his weight loss. A guy we work with asked him what his motivation was for losing weight and my H told him "my wife." I cried. He was at 300lbs last February after back surgery and he is at 240 now. He has 15 more to go to get to his goal.
I'm off tomorrow so I plan to grocery shop, write out my workouts for the week and purge the apartment some.
wineandcheese - We went to the grocery store last night without a list, and we ended up with all sorts of nonsense in our cart. LOL. It didn't help that we also went there straight from the gym so we were both wicked hungry. We managed to stick to healthy nonsense, but it was definitely more than we would have gotten if we'd had a list.
It's so great that your H is having success! What kind of workout routine is he doing?
So I got my body fat checked yesterday. I feel like that will be a good jumping off point to watch for body changes. I'll get it checked again in six months or do (maybe 3?). Bonus! It was MUCH better than when I had it last checked years ago (pre-pregnancy).
