Second day of kindergarten homework and I'm already confused. I guess I need to start looking into Spanish classes for me if I have any chance of keeping up.
Ugh. FWP rant ahead. I apologize in advance, but I just need to vent for a second...
So in the last week we've finished packing and clearing up for showing, cleaned the carpets, had the house deep cleaned (god bless those ladies-- they did a fantastic job!), flew to Texas, saw 16 houses in two days, narrowed it down to three then one, set up arrangements for our temporary apartment, found boarding for our dog, flew home, checked in with our realtor here about the weekend of showings, reviewed offers, picked one, put in an offer on the new place, booked movers, had our packing walk-through, and are waiting to sign off on offer contracts.
I'm exhausted. My head hurts. My neck and upper back is only quasi-mobile. I can't put my phone down because every time I do there is a call, text, or email. The tv has been babysitting my kids because I've been on phone conferences trying to get stuff coordinated and I'm waking up at night thinking about stupid stuff like should we try to get the highchair packed in the car or should we just wing it for a couple of weeks. Plus, Will is down with a cold/fever thing because airplanes are gross.
Please send good vibes that the owners of the new place are willing to consider our offer and that nothing major comes up in either inspection!
lauranicole91, Congrats! How is stay at home life treating you?
Sahm life has been pretty good. It's definitely been a fun jam packed summer. I love having more time and energy for my kids and being able to get a lot more house work done. I am looking forward to a more normal schedule when school starts though.
Congrats!! I thought about you recently and was wondering if you were still trying. I'm happy for you!
I know 10months is nothing when it comes to TTC for some. But I was already starting to wonder if it was a sign of some sort. My other two were one try wonders. When I told my mom today her response was "apparently your body only wants to make spring babies" 😂

@lindy I'm so glad he's going to be able to get some speech help! I don't know if he is quite at the frustrated level Logan was at, but either way it is such a relief to know when they will be on their way to better communication.
We had K orientation today. A was a stage 5 clinger. He kept saying "promise me you won't leave me today". I'm a bit worried how it will go tomorrow. Luckily, his seat is at a table full of kids he knew from Pre-K. He was kind of pissed that the science center at school wasn't as big as the city science center, lol.
A was soooo clingy today too! She's not usually that bad, and I'm hoping when I'm not there she does better.
nannerl - I'm a nosey posey. What part of the state are you moving to?
I need to get up and make sure my house is ready for prime time. My SIL and family are moving back from OR this week and three are arriving tonight...there will be 13 people staying in my house on Friday. 13. One. Three.
A got her class list today and there's only 22 kids on it! We were told to expect 26, with no aid, so I was glad to see "only" 22. She was so super shy at meet the teacher tonight and wouldn't talk to her at all. Hoping she does better when I'm not there. I have no clue how 1 teacher gets 22 5/6 year old to listen lol it must take a special kind of person.
