Yay! I'm going to order some book bags today! Rainy day here and C puked this morning. Wish I was home snuggling him, but Dh didn't feel great either so they are home watching movie.
Our school has a meet & greet in 2 weeks for K. Parents, siblings, and the kindergartener are supposed to attend. My MIL tried to invite herself. And then complained that she's never going to get to see B anymore since his school goes from 9a-3:40p. She watches the boys every Thursday, and they are typically at her house at 8am. We also see them sometimes on weekends.
H's speech eval is today. He's been fine since yesterday and acting fine today so hoping he stays that way and we can go. Really don't want to wait a month again for an opening.
A has her meet the teacher tonight! She's super excited because there will be ice cream.
So the boys are in my SIL's upcoming wedding. I've had to coordinate pants, shoes, and shirts with the other ring bearers mom. SIL said she would buy their suspenders and bow tie. Ok. No big deal, but whatever. So the wedding is 2 weeks away so I asked H if he could get the suspenders and bow tie from her so we can try them on and have them ready. He brings them home, and then says I need to give them back because they are going to be the boys' wedding present....
Is it just me or is that a shitty wedding present for a 5yr old and 2 yr old? H says it's because she has no money (wedding is costing around $45k in which her step dad and mom are paying the majority and her bachelorette party was in Miami and we live in OH).
I told him I would've been happy to buy the suspenders and bow tie so she could get them a gift. I just feel like the boys are going to be excited to get a gift, and then open it and be confused as to where the actual gift is. Maybe I'm overthinking it. There has been more drama in regards to the wedding, so I'm willing to admit I might just be jaded by that.
Great job sunshineluv ! That wine is going to taste so good tomorrow!! How did you like doing whole 30?
Thank you . I am very much looking forward to the wine!
I have lots of thoughts on Whole30. On the positive side, I lost 8 lbs and 8 inches, which I am thrilled about. I am proud of us for doing it and sticking with it (through 4 work dinners, and a beach trip). I am hoping it helps us be better about meal planning and making good choices.
On the negative side, I got my period 9 days early, and it was a doozy, also my energy levels were really low. I had to have an afternoon cup of coffee most days. It becomes a bit obsessive bc you have to read every label and prepare for everything.
I do not think I will do it again. I thought eating clean would make me feel like a new person, and it didn't.
We will use some of the recipes going forward, and I am getting back on weight watchers, if I don't, I will gain the weight back quickly!

You are overthinking it . It will be a bit weird for them to open a present and it be something boring like suspenders, but they will be forced to say thank you then get over it.
Same thing happens to us at Christmas when they open super fun stuff like sweatshirts, they give me a weird look, I make them say thank you, then we carry on.
The boys are going to look adorable! You will have to share pics.
still unpacking, but now all the boxes left are in the room they need to be unpacked in (about half were unloaded into the garage by the movers because we didn't get house access until the afternoon). probably 60% unpacked . . . trying to get it all done this week so I can start lesson planning next week
sunshineluv & Loco Coco - you guys are right. I am overthinking. I wasn't trying to dictate the present as much as I was just thinking it would be weird since they already tried the stuff on and would be expecting more of a toy in the present. But I bet prepping them would go a long way.
sunshineluv -8lbs and 8 inches is awesome! That's really interesting about the side effects of your period. I've been doing a more lowish carb diet and was shocked at how my energy levels went down.

Yea, it is interesting. I am not a fan, lol. I need energy to keep up with work and kids and life!
Yesterday at Panera I accidentally ordered a side baguette instead of the apple, it took all my will power not to take a small bite of the soft part of the bread!
Thank you! I got so spoiled with how fast I got pregnant with Peyton and Logan. I'm still shocked it took 10m to conceive this one! Not including my CP in January that is. I'm not spotting along side my BFP, so I'm already in a better spot than I was in January. Keep sticking baby!

Well glad I took H in. They verbally said he will quality for speech services. They'll send the paperwork in and then I wait for a call. He was delayed in a few other areas, which I wasn't expecting, but not enough for services for those.
We had K orientation today. A was a stage 5 clinger. He kept saying "promise me you won't leave me today". I'm a bit worried how it will go tomorrow. Luckily, his seat is at a table full of kids he knew from Pre-K. He was kind of pissed that the science center at school wasn't as big as the city science center, lol.

Lol or don't prep them and let her realize that 2 little boys are not going to be impressed with it... if you don't care that is 😛

I have to say goodbye to a client tonight. He came to us with no functional play skills or words and now he says 3-4 word phrases and plays with peers. Im excited about my new job but it's so bittersweet to say goodbye
