I think A is going to destroy her stuff at school this year (dry erase markers and black playground material!) and now that she's moved to girl sizes I don't see a ton of stuff I like. Where do you get your girl stuff? I still love HA/Boden for girls but it's too expensive to ruin at school! Is there anything out there that style but cheaper?
Do you have an stores like once upon a child or kid to kid in your area? That's one of my go to's if not target, carters outlet, and h&m.
We do have a Once Upon a Child! I get so overwhelmed looking at the girl clothes though because there's like 1000000 of them to look through lol. I should head over there and check them out again though. I liked Cat and Jack last year at Target so I'm hoping they come out with some more stuff for fall.

The key to OUAC is going there kidless so you have all the time and focus to thumb through the millions of things. 😉

My daughter wears old navy to daycare. I watch the clearance and sales they do. I don't care for the quality of cat & jack and I've noticed all the new stuff is blends when I want 100% cotton.

I second the consignment stores without kids. Do you have Rhea Lana or similar twice a year sales? They can be hit or miss, but I usually can find a few things. Even though W wears a uniform, I can't stand that every pair of khakis are ruined immediately by the black mulch on the playground. Oh, and I also send him in red whenever the lunch has red sauce.
I ditto kohls. Their jumping bean brand has come a long way in the last couple years, especially in style (boys clothes anyways since I don't look at girls stuff). Usually they're like $5 a shirt or shorts, and you can get 20-30% off of that, so they're really cheap. Gymbo has some good deals a lot of times. I got Colton some shorts recently for $2.50.

I have a 30% off one time use code that ends today for Kohl's if you would like it.
