Know what I did last night? I RODE MY HORSE for the first time in 3 weeks. He got the all-clear from the vet, and the vet was actually impressed and said yesterday's sonogram looked like there had never been an issue with his tendons. Whew. So we just took a nice easy 15 minute ride around the farm, and I'm going to start adding a few more minutes of ride time every couple days until we're back to normal.
The vet agreed with my barn owner that Larry could very well reinjure himself at higher competition levels (longer-length courses to gallop, more jumps on a course, higher jumps), so I think I'm now in the "sell" camp I don't want him getting hurt because of me, and I definitely want to keep jumping and competing. My trainer and I will have to strategize which shows to enter him in and which of us will be riding so that we call sell him fast and at the highest dollar, and I hate having to think about my horse like that.
Anyhow, we have houseguests arriving this afternoon and staying until tomorrow. I haven't seen this couple in years (at their wedding), although M has met up with them at various gaming conventions. I have no idea what M planned for them besides dinner, LOL.

Thank GOD it is FRIDAY!
I'm flying solo as P is OOT again. I had a hard time sleeping last night so I think tonight will just be relaxing. Tomorrow the gardener is coming to do the back garden so fingers crossed he does a nice job. I may see if a friend wants to meet up for a drink this weekend.
My realtor finally made my day - my buyers are clear to close! Woot woot! Everyone cross your fingers that by the end of the day on Aug 21, I no longer own my old house.
And in super strange weird news, my mom is coming up at the end of the month to go to my wedding dress fitting and eat a bunch of food with us while we do our menu tasting. That's all good. But suddenly she's asking (via text) for hotels near me, because she doesn't want to stay with us until after we're married (complete with kissy-face emoji). She has stayed with us before. Thanks for never missing an opportunity to make things weird, mom.
We're camping this weekend at my favorite campground! The weather should stay in the 70's, too, so nice and mild. Looking forward to showing bf all the cool stuff around the area.
The interview was as close to perfection as you can get. It would be a very easy job, so not sure how I feel about that. They'll let me know next week about second interviews. I also had two phone interviews, both of which went really well, too!
Yesterday I went back to the original PT and oh my goodness he was SO MUCH better. I was there for an hour, not 15 minutes. He did all kinds of exercises with me, a little massage, and applied both ice (to my shoulder) and heat (to my neck) at the end. I'm so glad I went back to him. He's worth sitting on the shuttle that runs between hospitals for 30 min+ each way.
Yesterday evening was also good. I walked to and from tap and then went to one of my favorite coffee shops/bars/pizza places. I hang been for a while so there was so much to catch up on. It was really nice to be there.
This weekend should be good. Today I'm going to the mall with one of my friends to buy a new chain for a necklace. I dropped off the pendant and a ring to be cleaned and I'm going to take in another necklace to be cleaned since it's free. After that is happy hour. Tomorrow I'm getting a haircut so I need to make plans for the Saturday evening to show off my hair.
chalupa I'm sorry about Larry. You really are looking out for what's best for him, which is wonderful. I know that doesn't make it emotionally easier though.
Good luck with the house! That should be emotionally easier at this point. I'm glad they were finally cleared!
Thanks guys. Want to plan an absolutely insane year for yourself? Just buy and sell some houses, buy and sell some horses, and maybe top it all off with a wedding. Who needs money, amirite? Or sleep.
gault, that is great news about the interviews! Sounds really promising. I hope you and BF have fun camping.
Tonight I'm just having dinner in. I'll probably get some takeout and watch Netflix. On Sunday, H and I are going to a picnic that our sponsorship group is having for the family and some of their friends. I hope the weather will be good for it!
Tonight I'm hoping to catch up on some DVR'd shows, snuggle with my pups, and not do too much else. Tomorrow my grandmother is hosting dinner then I get to see my aunt and uncle's granddaughter. Her pictures are adorable so I'm excited about that. I also need to do some work at some point this weekend. I may try to do most of it Saturday to just be able to veg out Sunday.

Woot! That's all I have. I'll be working some this weekend and cleaning to get ready for houseguests. My niece is coming with a friend next week before she moves to Dallas. It's her first adult job and I'm equal parts thrilled for her and sad she's going so far. I really like a man. I refuse to create an instant relationship, and he isn't trying to either. But it's nice to like someone, and to look forward to hearing from him. He's up in Austin, so geography is helping us to take things slow.
I'm growing older but not up. My metabolic rate is pleasantly stuck, let the winds of time blow over my head. I'd rather die while I'm living than live while I'm dead.

chalupa, lol. Twinsies! In 6 months, I finished grad school, bought a house, got married and got a new job. Although, the other three things got me that job as I interviewed 2 days before my wedding. When they said about second interviews, I had to tell them about my honeymoon. They were amazed I was that calm two days before my wedding that I pretty much got the job on the spot.
