How was everyone's weekend?

A has decided she doesn't need to listen, ever. So that is fun. I'm hoping is a kindergarten starting thing, it's been getting worse for a few weeks now but this weekend was bad.

I also have a bad cold, in August wtf.

The weather was perfect though so we so played outside a lot and went swimming.

Daniel decided he doesn't need to listen as well, but it started months ago. He will ask if he can do something, we say no, he replies with "I'm just going to do it anyway" then we have to physically stop him from whatever it is, he often ends up in his room due to behaviour/being rude yet he doesn't seem to learn.

The boys talk about farting and poop all day long, it's so annoying. I told him he other day that he will like get in trouble at school for using potty words (getting in trouble at home doesn't phase him) and he said "oh I know I can't use them there" well geez kid, we've been telling you for months you can't use them here either so why don't you listen to us?

I'm so glad to hear others having issues too. L has had serious behavioral issues for probably the past 2 months. I wasn't sure if it was kindergarden/summer camp, his step brother being around a lot more, his age or what. Dh and I just talked this morning about him maybe needing to see a therapist or counselor or doctor. I still am going to look into him seeing someone, but it relieves some major mommy guilt that maybe it is partially his age and school adjustments.

He is so defiant and stubborn. Yesterday he was running towards traffic and did not immediately stop when we yelled, but stopped 2 seconds later. I think he is smart enough not to run into traffic deliberately, I think he was just pushing his limits with Dh. But of course he is young and needs to listen to his parents. TThere are also lots of little instances like he wants a snack and I say no, dinner is almost ready and he goes and gets one anyway. Or last night he wanted bottled water and I said I would make him a glass of water and he threw a fit and tried to crush the bottle and Throw it in the trash because he couldn't have it.

Sorry this got long. I had a otherwise good weekend tired Monday....

Kids went to bed late and woke up early (of course!). Thankfully C is napping and Ari is watching some awful My Little Pony movie.

First day of school today. I'm so glad my mom has been staying with us since the baby was born because it's made everything so much easier. She is staying one more week bc my husband is going out of town for work. I'm also so glad to be on maternity leave since school started today.
