I aprove! Nice work there ma'am! I just got some new furniture maaahhhself, and have been furnishing up the house a lot too lately. I want to have the house feel like it's done by the end of the year.
It's no coincidence that I hope to be pregnant by then too!!! Keep it up, it looks great!
Very nice! We are also doing some re-modeling/re-decorating, it's fun
I love it too but I am baaad at it. I probably could have made the prints but oh well. Do you think I should paint the silver lamps? Put a colored tray or table runner on top of the dressers?
We will be avoiding for 3 more months but I want to reorganize things now to see if we can stay at this 2 bedroom or of we need to move. If we do, I'd rather do that when I'm not PG!
Hmm, I'm not very good at decorating with knick-knacks, mainly because I'm cheap. We hired a contractor to do our bathrooms and we agonized over every detail, of the tiles, lights, vanities, etc.
A little something on the side tables I think would look nice. A tray with a few candles or a small display of books?

Didn't see this the first read through I was so excited from your photos!
So, do you have a Home Goods store near you? (It's a TJMaxx store for your house essentially) They have knick knacky types of things for the cheap. I also like Pier One for unique accent pieces.
It really depends on your overall style to me, to suggest what to put on the tables...BUT--
I like contemporary eclectic, so my house has a combo of Crate and Barrel, Pottery Barn, and Cost Plus furniture. But I buy custom art off of etsy, and have a few kitchy things here and there from Pier One, home goods, etc.
You have really clean lines in your room and the silver lamps are contemporary, and minimal. I think you should leave the lamps as is. And maybe find something fun and unexpected that reflects your personality/style to put there?
I mean it can be a simple as a round silver reflective tray with a bunch of different height candles, or a stack of oversized books and a ring of cast iron keys laid across the top, or you can be playful and do something unexpected, like one of these guys www.pier1.com/on/demandware.store/Sites-pier1_us-Site/default/Search-Show?q=yoga since you do/teach yoga.
Just think in terms of: texture, odd numbers (like 3's and 5's for candles or vase staging) overall color palette cohesiveness of the room (things don't need to match, just compliment), and don't put anything in there that you don't love, or doesn't make you feel something when you look at it.
