Trump planning a surprise rally in AZ probably to announce an Aprio pardon.
An Arpaio pardon makes me really uncomfortable and anxious. Not just because of the racist undertones of what Arpaio was doing that got him in trouble, but because his conviction was for contempt -- for failing to obey a court order. So it feels to me especially pernicious -- it isn't just endorsing the racism inherent in Arpaio's actions, but more importantly, it is the President of the United States basically saying, "hey guys, it is totally okay to openly defy a court order if you don't agree with it." It is the President basically openly declaring war on the rule of law -- because the rule of law can only work if the laws can be enforced, and if the belief is is "ha, no, we don't have to listen to the courts and we can choose when we follow laws and the Constitution and courts," then...rule of law doesn't exist. And that is a scary, scary thought.
Not to mention that giving him a pardon also flies in the face of DOJ policy regarding pardons. Not just the factors that are supposed to be considered (i.e. that you have shown remorse, which Arpaio doesn't) but also that the DOJ rules say you have to wait 5 years post-conviction before you can seek a pardon.
I just read Hope Hicks is stepping in as communications director until (if?) they find some stupid asshole to take it over permanently. Sounds like a great time to take that on.
She later released a statement saying, in part, "For the sake of the soul of our country, we must come together to restore our national dignity that has been robbed by Donald Trump’s presence in the White House. My Republican friends, I implore you to work with us within our capacity as elected officials to remove this man as our commander-in-chief and help us move forward from this dark period in our nation’s history."

Sometimes I just stop and think about how in a few years, when he is out of the WH (and if our country still exists), that Ivanka and Jared will be shunned by all of NY society when they return. And it gives me a tiny shred of happiness.

Guess she's the next to be bullied and harassed on Twitter.

I'm sure she's thinking, Come at me, bro. Gwen Moore gives no fucks.
I don't get the amazon thing...doesn't almost everybody pay state sales tax on amazon now? I they have offices or physical businesses in most states now, no???
I just checked the Amazon website and they charge taxes in 45 states and the District of Columbia. www.amazon.com/gp/help/customer/display.html?nodeId=468512 There are 5 states that have no sales tax. (Alaska, Delaware, Montana, New Hampshire, Oregon) You do the math. Trump obviously can't.
I'm glad to see *some* establishment Republicans speaking out. But...too little, too late for most of you. Let's get on to impeaching him or obstructing him a every level, including media exposure or coverage of Republicans speaking against and turning their backs on him (physically would be great too.) Quit eating with him, quit accepting invitations from him, quit validating him, quit giving him a microphone.

They are so bad at this. No, you don't get to score political points now after this debacle. You are not fit to hold the shape of her name in your mouth. Though I doubt 45 composed this. Which is almost worse, if someone not insane thought it was a good move to post.
I also really hope he heard that obamas tweet on Charlottesville is the most liked tweet ever. 45screw up and then screws up fixing the screw up and then still manages to make everything worse. Meanwhile his nemesis says just the right thing with effortless grace.
It seems even MORE sickening coming from them. Paul Ryan is a spineless weasel, but I at least understand the political calculations behind his spinelessness. WTF do these two have to lose?
