Ulta 20% off coupon - are these common?

I just recently discovered the joys of Ulta after being a loyal Sephoraholic for years. I have an email with a 20% coupon including prestige cosmetics and fragrances. Are these common or should I stock up now?

I feel like the ones that include prestige run about every other month or so. Though I do remember getting a couple of them back-to-back right around the holidays last year. They are definitely more frequent than Sephora sales.

I get 3-4 per year. One of the many reasons I've mostly converted to Ulta.

Either I'm not paying attention, or they send them based on market area b/c I maybe get 3 a year. Spring, Summer and in Dec.

I just looked at my Ulta account history and I received (and used) a 20% off (including prestige) in January and June. Plus I have the current one. I probably had 1-2 others that I didn't redeem.

How can you tell when you received a coupon?

They seem to vary greatly for me. Some years I get them almost monthly. This year I've gotten the 20% off just two times I think.

Sometimes I receive a coupon in the mail. Sometimes it is an email.

I just looked at my order history details. Unless I really NEED something, I wait until I have a 20% off to buy any prestige brands. So any order that was over $50 and had a prestige item, I'm 99% sure I used a 20% off.

I got one for the first time this year this week!

If they do this every month, I'd start shopping there for sure.

How are you guys getting coupons every couple of months? I get them maybe twice a year and they NEVER include "prestige" brands I want to buy.
