Does anyone have any tips on doing a friend's makeup? Our fire department dinner is tomorrow night. It's a formal event. My friend asked me to do her makeup since I have some "skills". Except I've never done it on another adult. My nieces I've done a little eyeshadow, blush, mascara and lip gloss over the years. Friend is expecting a full glam look. I hope I don't screw this up.
I told my friend that I've never really done makeup on another adult and she told me I couldn't do any worst then she does so I'm hoping her expectations are low since she hardly wears makeup lol.

I think it's easiest to have them sit down. It's easier to have them do their own mascara, that one I can't do on someone else. If you have any palettes that have come with look cards, show them to her and offer a few options.
It went well. She loved it! It wasn't professional quality but she said it made her feel gorgeous, which is all that mattered.
My makeup for the night was horrible lol. After having to do her makeup then my mom's I had 20 minutes to do mine plus a false lash strip that didn't want to stay down on the outer lash line. After fighting it for 10 minutes and having to redo my eye makeup twice, I ended up skipping them.

This happened to me at my friends wedding. I did another friend's makeup and then had to rush through my own.
