I have always purchased Tretinoin at Costco's pharmacy, but this year I got it at Walmart since it as over 50% less ($350 @ Costco vs $125 at Walmart).
I don't know if my skin has just adjusted (I've been using it on/off for years) but it isn't peeling or getting my skin red at all.
Does the quality of Tretinoin differ from place to place?
Yep, I agree with the others, your skin shouldn't be red and peeling over time. That's why it's often recommended to up your use slowly over time as it lets your skin get use to the product.
Your skin should adapt to it over time so that you don't get red/flaky/irritated reaction.
That cost seems high. I generally get mine at CVS; the pharmacist always find me a "coupon" that brings the net cost down to about $20-$25. You can also check prices at goodrx.com

Thanks. With the price being so low, I wasn't sure if the quality was the same. (Similar to: Old Navy's cotton Ts and Banana Republic's cotton Ts may be made of 100% cotton, but they aren't the same in quality whatsoever)SaveSave
The only time you might encounter a slight difference would be around an inactive ingredient being different. For a topical medication, that might be a different texture, fragrance, etc.
